  1. I can't comment on the Sire, but I had a Junior Jet. It was extremely well finished and sounded absolutely monstrous. Superb for the price point.
  2. I'm sure it's very clever from a playing perspective. But from a musical perspective, it's just noise.
  3. I was just going to say, Rock City used to be pretty darned good. I haven't been there in years but hopefully it's still going and attracting some great acts.
  4. I think the one of the biggest contributing factors to leaving my previous band was having to play Rockin' in the Free World.
  5. I find gear abstinence extremely easy. Although, living close to the poverty line helps a lot.
  6. I have the same problem with my sixer. The only way I could get it to sound anything like even was to lower the pickups at the low end, and raise them almost to the point of touching the strings at the high end. Then add compression to even things out. The rest of the set-up is fine, and I tried new strings. It didn't make any difference.
  7. Just seen this pop up on Facebook and came here to see if there was any info on them. I've never seen one of these before. It looks absolutely stonking!
  8. If I was in the UK I'd be all over this, even though I don't need it and it would break my back moving it. I can't believe no one's taken your arm off yet at that price.
  9. As far as I'm concerned the colour alone knocks £500 off the asking price.
  10. My temptation is easily averted just by looking at it.
  11. Cheap as chips. Someone should buy it just to play about with a sixer if they've never had one.
  12. The Pixie Led - Original four piece with female lead vocals and drums and a mixture of styles. Mostly laid back.
  13. Nope! Nothing wrong with using a noise gate and compressor to tidy things up.
  14. They're pretty reasonable. Propose an offer off the purchase price to keep it.
  15. I thought exercise was supposed to be good for you. I've never hurt myself watching the telly. 😂
  16. Not for me. It's a P rug and I have five dogs.
  17. Yup. I feel your pain. One prolapsed disc which occasionally decides it wants to rub on my spinal cord, and one worn disc which means I get crepitus and can actually feel two of my vertebrae rubbing together. I sold my heavy old cabs and bought the lightest ones I could afford and had to give up playing my 6 string which weights in at a whopping 14lbs. I wear a back brace when loading and playing, but the biggest change is I bought myself one of those folding guitar stand chairs. It doesn't take up much more room than a normal guitar stand, and it means that I can sit down if the pain gets too bad, or preferably before. It may not be very "rock n roll" but it means I get to keep playing.
