  1. Just at present there is nothing I want or need. If there was I’d have to sell one, one in one out.
  2. Look in any window - The Hollies
  3. I had one way back but think it has Roadster on the headstock. Anyone know what the difference was, sure looked the same. It was quite lightweight but had a great sound. When I stripped the paint off to turn it into a natural finish it turned out to be a laminated body. There a great P. Bass substitute.
  4. We gotta get out of this place - The Animals
  5. Hanging in the telephone - Blondie
  6. The tailpiece looks like the one on the 12 string George Harrison had before the R tailpiece was introduced. An R type would have been more attractive. I didn’t realise it had come out a while ago, I must have missed that memo 🤔🤣.
  7. Now this is a semi I wouldn’t mind, just don’t have a spare £5499 handy. But I bet someone has.
  8. Thanks Maude, I’ll give it a go.👍🏼
  9. I only have eyes for you - The Flamingos
  10. I am a boomer and I’ve owned 2 vintage basses. I traded both for something else which was not vintage and I have no gas for anything vintage. I want playable reliable and affordable. I do not want to be worrying about losing my priceless bit of kit.
  11. Night boat to Cairo - Madness
  12. Old man river - Paul Robeson
  13. Just to say the Behringer does the trick perfectly. Signal much enhanced and I think the tone is improved too. Thanks for the tip @Jean-Luc Pickguard I got it at a cracking price from Gear4music.
  14. Gibson EB has 2 good humbucker/MM style pickups and does growl. There is also a pull pot on the volumes that converts the PUs to single coil which sound like a jazz. Probably the cheapest US made bass you can buy.
  15. New York, New York. Ole blue eyes
  16. I don’t want Togo to Chelsea - Elvis Costella
  17. I used to play tenor using Irish tuning ( like a mandolin). Think of it as a backward guitar, you can literally reverse chords. Friends play with Chicago tuning and therefore use the “top half” of chords. Many of those turn out as 1 finger shapes so couldn’t be easier and you can buy suitable strings.
  18. I think I’ll just have the guy’s suit, so cool.
  19. I’ve bought the Behringer AD21, it arrived today but haven’t tried it out yet. I will report on performance in due course.
  20. Food glorious, glorious food. - Lionel Bart : the cast of Oliver!
  21. Hard days night - you know who!
  22. I know “it’s all you fault” from Hot Club of Cowtown, who also hail from Austin!
  23. Eve of Destruction - Barry McGuire
  24. Thanks @Jean-Luc Pickguard that sounds like a good option without breaking the bank and having an alternative use 👍🏼
  25. These seem very reasonable at under £40. I’ve been satisfied with my Behringer Vamp, so have you tried it with acoustic guitars as I have 3 of those?
