    I've been attending the workshop called : Halve Your Practise Time & Get Progress Faster Than Ever! What a waste of time ! 1 hour and 12 minutes of talking and talking and talking, and it wasn't live at all. I entered the Strap contest to justify this total waste of time, hoping I'll win it, but I know I won't. Ok, maybe I'm a (too) fast learner, but it could have been summarised in 10 minutes which is the total concentrating time per hour for an adult !!! Everyone into teaching is knowing that. It looks like our Scott has a serious problem on focusing and going to the point. Pareto's law is not what he said at all. Let's get it the right way : on an 100% time line, you'll learn (in this case, even if it's an economist law) 80% of your lesson in 20% of the time devoted, meaning that the remaining 20% will take you 80% of this very time. He is simply NOT learning the 20% left, so cutting the knowledge. Let's figure it in real time : if you need one hour to digest a lesson, you'll digest 80% of it in 12 minutes and it will take you 48 minutes to learn the 20% remaining if you want to know your lesson at 100%. Now, would you trust a medical specialist who only knows his work at 80% and is talking about a surgery ? I won't. Being a former medical representative specialised in bio technologies, I know the Pareto's law very well as in my domain it's always used for targeting, researching and learning the right way; and I can tell you that my exam results after a month of (fast) learning were exactly at 100%. To avoid the Pareto effect, in the medical representatives domain, we have exams each and every were the MINIMAL score to be accredited is 90%. So you have to know your job, which is a good thing.

    Sadly, in terms of heads, there is only the Acoustic Image solution, the Euphonic Audio Doubler is not a real double bass head, no ultra low level input for say a piezo without preamp...

    The easiest way would be to put a bridge with piezo saddles AND a buffer preamp for the piezos, so around £300 to £1000 GBP depending the brand of piezos and buffer preamp...     The MIDI Wal has MIDI integrated in the bass via frets sensors, the regular has no MIDI integrated.

    I too have been impressed by Jonas Hellborg since I discovered him when the album Adfa was released in 1989. Then I've been listening to all records he's been playing on and I must admit I became a compulsive buyer and certainly owns almost every record he played on... He surely is my main influence musically speaking.

    Thanks mate, the bass for sale here, even if it has the full graphite neck has exactly the same sound, and I know it because it was mine. That said, I've seen this tour at the MAI in Nancy (France) with the late terrific Shawn Lane, and Jonas Hellborg was playing his modified Crafter. What good memories it has awaken. 😊

    Gorgeous instrument. Don't worry for your intonation, use your open strings and harmonics as these are a fixed reference. It helps a lot. Use a tuner too so you'll see if you are in tune. Didn't I tell you about these Shuker ? They are just wonderful instruments. Congratulations and as I always say : no frets, no limits ! 👍
