I watched the two videos as I have time ... today. The only missing things in the first video are a broom to put in his a$$ and some light reflection in the tuba to have a glowing halo around his head... I really do prefer the way that the Rosenberg brothers are enjoying the same tune, way much more fun in it.

These are indeed terrific basses and I'm the one who sold the last one here, which was very highly upgraded...

Sorry mate, but continuous power is absolutely not RMS power : check your books.

Look 8 posts before yours, I've put the specs that are on their website and there's absolutely no mention of the RMS power... That said, the Mike Pope Flexcore 4 bands preamp is terrific and certainly the most transparent you will ever find. I had three in three different basses and still have one in one of my basses : really great stuff.

No, that's not me but another Chris. That said, the Logabass is not a Leduc, but only an instrument designed by him and made by Sanox. Funnily, for an unknown reason, these Sanox basses resell very well, when real Leduc's tend to be harder to sell. Look at my signature if you want to know which Leduc's I own for the moment, and, man I had a lot, something like 20 or 30... I'm some kind of second hand market price marker as Christophe, who now is a friend, is always telling.

I know the feeling too as I still have at least five basses to sell, but I'm always finding good excuses for not doing it. For now it's these stupidly high temperatures as I like to take a lot of pictures for selling items. I'm too lazy to get outside, make some pictures and make the ads... But I'll end up doing it and put the money onto our family account as I don't need any other basses than my Leduc's nor any other amp than my AER and I don't use nor like effects. The funny thing is that I know it for ages. 🙄 So yes I fully understand your feeling.

This might help a lot. Listen to Franz Liszt as he had the idea of banishing the bars and measures in music. Then listen to Charles-Valentin Alkan who went further in the process by composing music without bars and time signature, even if the written music found will have both of them for pure classical notation purposes. Don't think in terms of measures, but phrases or movements rather than patterns and don't rely on the drummer, but on your internal perception of the flow. Listening to real Klezmer music will also help as they start together and join back in the end without taking care of the classical rhythm approach, but only listening to each other and sliding into uncontrolled time signature(s)... Learning Indian music will also help a lot, and listening to it, of course.

My advice would be even simpler : follow the snare drum, not the bass drum as you'll get lost after the first measure. Don't try to understand and decompose the signature, but let the music flow. On the opposite, as I'm into weird time signatures (I've been listening to strange time signatures, being it classical, jazz or even rock, since I'm a teenager), it's hard for me to play in 4:4, I think because I get bored very quick.

And we forgot the great Carles Benavent with Paco de Lucia (everything was played fretless !!!) He even played with Miles Davis and nowadays, he's been playing with Chick Corea... Listen to this and his amazing style of playing :

Where are you going next ? Home ? Then the Rai 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, ... will certainly broadcat the concerts. Check it out. I've seen Chick Corea twice, the first concert was really great, we left the second one after the second track as it was so boring : not sure you are missing something extraordinary.

Yes, and if the Power LED lights up, than the bridge rectifier is still alive as in this circuit everything is operated after it, my guess, because remote repair is always a guess, is as I wrote the filtering capacitors that have blown as it's still humming, so "working". That said, I wouldn't bid any higher than 20 quids...

As the amp is still turning on ("followed by a small amount of smoke from the back and loud humming"), it means that the ouput transistors are still sound and safe, otherwise the mains fuse would have blown. It could be interesting to know who that "Spike" is...
