  1. TC Electronic Polytune, quite cheap (compared to a Peterson) and very accurate.
  2. Looks like microphonic pickups, had no issues with my Jerzy Drozd with the same pickups. Strange. That said, good luck if you contact the man himself, he'll certainly charge you 1.000 Euros to change the pickups...
  3. May I enter the shirt and sandals contest ?
  4. Listen to Chris SQUIRE, Lemmy, Paul McCARTNEY, Geddy LEE, Roger GLOVER, Cliff BURTON and some others. They make it sound right. I had one a long time ago, sold it after one week, hated it so much. A friend of mine had one and he had a great sound, funny, no ?
  5. One is there since 12 years and another since 5 years. And be lucky, I didn't put the amps and guitars... 🤣

  7. That said, the lead guitar player deserves an extra mention too with his marine blue socks on bermuda pants. Very stylish !
  8. GSS 06B400. You can have it as a head or very small combo. I've opened a thread here : Check the price : http://www.guitarsoundsystems.com/gss-06b400bh-100-watts-mini-bass-amplifier-head-c2x24693748
  9. It was too obvious, but these socks, wow !
  10. Don't buy another one, Russ, or you'll need a new couch. 🤣 Three of them used to be mine, guess which ones.
  11. This is what you need : http://www.luminlay.com/shopen_fret lines.html With the torch to charge them, of course, or a cell phone front light (which works very well too).
  12. There are two sets of P X series that were just advertised a few minutes ago on Zikinf in France at a more than decent price for almost new items. The PA-X set : https://www.zikinf.com/annonces/dispannonce.php?annonce=1600013 The P-X set : https://www.zikinf.com/annonces/dispannonce.php?annonce=1600012
  13. Have you been to a doctor to assess this ? Because if you didn't, you might be in real danger if this was really a heart attack. Go and see a doctor IMMEDIATELY !!! Stress or ingestion have the same symptoms, that said.
  14. This is very low. My low action goes from 1,5 mm under the C string (on my 6 strings basses) to 2 mm under the B string at 12th fret. That said on a P-Bass, a higher action means better dynamics. I set my newly acquired Fender Precision Bass AVRI '57 at 2 mm under the G string to 3 mm under the E string at 12th fret. This is just terrific sounding with new Ernie Ball flatwounds cobalt. Thanks @HazBeen for the tip for these strings. The pickup is also far away from the strings which gives also better dynamics. I'm now in the process of raising the action on all my basses as that very P-Bass effect is something I really like.
  15. Makes me think, we have to build back this wooden terrace. Thanks @HazBeen for the visit. That said the P-Bass is great too. 😊
  16. Partially traded my Status Electro 4 fretless bass for Harry's Fender AVRI '57 P-Bass. Harry came home for lunch and we had a great time playing the basses and talking about everything, not always bass related. Come back whenever you want, you'll always be welcome. This was another smooth and easy transaction with a great BassChatter.
  17. Started the "Harmonic Layering - Arpeggios, Chord Tones & Scales." course and I must say that it's way much better and useful than this introduction "thing". I've already done the fretless course with Steve Lawson.
  18. I wanted to go to the end, even if I downloaded immediately that page and saw the very very very thin program with such an ambitious title. What I can tell after having watched the video all along (doing scales while waiting for the end) is that it's simply an easy way to get money. There is lot of harassment behaviour in the way the SBL is managed : two or more emails a day, always repeating the same things, telling you what to do because this is the only way, superlatives in every sentence, ... Sorry I'm 53, playing for more than 30 years, mainly fretless, and I've studied all my life because I like it, but this is just too much, I'm not a 5 years old kid. So, I'll turn down the notifications, attend the courses I want to and certainly get to where I want to get. I'lll come back later after more courses and give my honest feedback.
  19. The NJ4SE is a split coil, not a stacked humbucker, so more on the P-Bass side, as it's the same approach. You will loose that magic sparkle of the single coil.
