  1. So I bought a Peterson StroboClip HD and must say it's dead accurate, quite fast and has lots of sweetened tunings including Buzz Feiten ones. But the TC Electronic Polytune Clip is faster, a very little bit less accurate due to the LED linear strobe tuning (as opposed to the circular moving strobe tuning on the Peterson) and way much cheaper. My advice woulb be to buy the TC Electronic Polytune Clip for live music and general purpose(s). If you are into precise setups and need these sweetened tunings, then go for the Peterson Stroboclip HD and pay the extra money. Now, I've got 3 excellent clip on tuners (2 TC Electronic and 1 Peterson).
  2. Here is the little trick I used to learn when I was working as a Truck Allocator Clerk (logistics clerk), simply write this and sign, you will be protected, no kidding : SUBJECT TO CONTROL. It's faster than negotiating with the driver, who is not allowed to refuse you the right to open and check the parcel, that said. Knowing the law and throwing it at their face can be useful too, sometimes.
  3. Neither do I. Neither do I. Neither do I. Neither do I. Either do I. Dammit square !
  4. Look here, I knew I saw some : https://www.zikinf.com/annonces/dispannonce.php?annonce=1572593 I can translate anything for you.
  5. Sadly, the answer is : welcome to the real world, ... a world of total incompetence. The last great sentence from one of the numerous UPS driver, last week : "You have a newly painted facade, that's why I missed the delivery". 🤨 Hey man, the house is still there, at the same place, in the same street, with the same number and I'm still bearing the same name !!! Extraordinary stupid driver, like most of them...
  6. Check this out : And this tribute to "Sound of Noise" :
  7. The guy likes challenging as he is always trying ridiculous or weird basses with some taste and fun, I must admit.
  8. Without discussion, the Leduc basses as they are simply perfect for me, especially the ones in my signature. I'm coming back from Christophe's home right now and we had a long talk about lutherie, its influence on sound and his new internal preamp. We have also become friends over the years. So the Masterpiece (MP or HMP for headless Masterpiece) fretless, the PAD (only fretted as there was no fretless), the U-basse (UMM) fretless and my 6 strings EUB called Moaï are my favourites. And this Ken Lawrence Associate 5 which was the best all maple neck ever.
  9. Yes, but it's a pain in the *ss to move, you know these stones are so heavy.
  10. This is a very good idea, being mostly a fretless player for more than 3 decades, I always like to check my intonation (which is very accurate) and tuners are great for it. That said a clip on tuner will be a real pity to watch while playing. That's why, for practising, I suggested this for PC as you can play and watch the screen at the same time : https://www.tomasboril.cz/tbstrobetuner/ Or the paying Peterson app ($9.99 USD) : https://www.petersontuners.com/products/istrobosoft/
  11. Here is the way to do it as NOBODY BUT ME ever reads a user manual (copy/paste) : Setting instrument type (guitar or bass) By default, PolyTune Clip is set up for tuning guitars. To tune a bass, press and hold the Display Mode Button for more than 5 seconds. The secondary display will display “B”. To return to Guitar Tuning Mode, press and hold the Display Mode Button for more than five seconds again. The Secondary Display will display “G”. The selected instrument type will be stored and preserved even when you change the battery. Read the f*cking manual ! 😎
  12. Did you set it up for bass ? I have mainly 6 strings basses and even a 6 strings EUB and have absolutely no problem tuning a low B.
  13. If you are into Indian music, it's not a problem. That said, I use this free strobe tuner on my PC and it's absolutely brilliant : https://www.tomasboril.cz/tbstrobetuner/
  14. That said, the Jerzy Drozd pickups are wax potted. Is it that the very bass coming from North Africa ? When yes, the wax may have melted during transport, which could be the explanation. Remember we had an awful overheated summer.
  15. Loose pots and exhausted rubber dampers can lead to this problem too.
  16. Check the battery connector which can be loose too.
  17. It means that they amplify any sound and not only the (metal) strings. Take a look at your pickups, they should be like this with rubber dampers.
  18. TC Electronic Polytune, quite cheap (compared to a Peterson) and very accurate.
  19. Looks like microphonic pickups, had no issues with my Jerzy Drozd with the same pickups. Strange. That said, good luck if you contact the man himself, he'll certainly charge you 1.000 Euros to change the pickups...
  20. May I enter the shirt and sandals contest ?
  21. Listen to Chris SQUIRE, Lemmy, Paul McCARTNEY, Geddy LEE, Roger GLOVER, Cliff BURTON and some others. They make it sound right. I had one a long time ago, sold it after one week, hated it so much. A friend of mine had one and he had a great sound, funny, no ?
  22. One is there since 12 years and another since 5 years. And be lucky, I didn't put the amps and guitars... 🤣
