  1. Maybe it was his composition. 🤣
  2. This is an optical effect due to the strange fretboard end shape. If you look at the shadow of the strings, then you'll see that the action is set very low.
  3. And I thought naively that British people had a great sense of humour. What to me is really misogynistic (this is the right word) is the term "female". That really hurts my senses. The girl is playing the tune very well, with the accents very precisely put, she has a wonderful smile, and furthermore she is having great fun. What else would you ask ?
  4. See it all over. Oops, feel it all over. Nice Alana, indeed.
  5. Like it a lot, but not the crazy price tag. 😝
  6. I think, it's time for a new bathroom scale.
  7. Erm, Chris, are you sure about the weight of this one : 6.2 kilos, even my heavier 6 strings didn't get any higher that 5.5 kilos !?!
  8. @BreadBin : you can use this photo for this month photo comp theme. I love it.
  9. As a former professional photographer, I'll always remember what one of our teachers said to a student complaining about his "cheap" camera : "There is no bad camera, there are only bad photographers." That said, the more I listen to Victor Wooten, the more I hate slap. And he can be a damn good bass player, ... finger style. Were they recording some elevator music ? So boring and uninspired. And he is explaining the slaughter at the end, funny. 😱
  10. For those interested in turning it into fretless, I can send the neck to Christian NOGUERA who can do the job for 135 Euros (plus shipping fee to him, return fee is included in the price) and within a week...
  11. Remember my almost endless list, have owned around 200 basses and still have 11. They all sound different of course, but not when I play them. It's a hard to admit fact : you'll always have the same sound whatever bass you will play and I'm not speaking of tweaking the amp sound, I'm speaking of what gets out the bass when you play. That's why you are human and not a robot. Make a simple experiment with a fellow bassist, play a bass at a precise position where both of you hear (quite) the same sound and then let your pal do the same : there will be a huge difference because you have both your inner sound that you'll always tend to hear, which is affected by endless factors including your technique, of course, and even weirder ones like education and what you eat...
  12. There is no best bass in the world as you will always have the same sound whatever bass you play, but I must admit the ergonomics will make the difference. In this case it's the Leduc U-Basse. And I used to have 3 Alfa 33.
  13. Back to the tracks, the under layer is not brass, but already Patrice Vigier Delta Metal. And those early wooden necks Vigier are the best ones. Too bad you can't ask it in Gaumais and it's missing a string for me. Are you sure your donkey is also named Gary ?
  14. French is my mother tongue. Italian is my grandmother mother tongue. German is my great grandmother mother tongue. English is my studied language.
  15. Mit Google ist es einfach, aber ich spreche wirklich Deutsch, Englisch, Französisch und auch Italienisch.
  16. The neck is made out of wenge and maple with a rosewood fretboard. The wings of the body are made out of maple.
  17. Bonne chance pour ta vente, mec. Très bon prix pour une très bonne et très rare basse. Juste un plus de précision dans le jeu sans les frettes et tout sera parfait. Next time, I'll write in German or Italian.
  18. Looks like the OP has gone in the woods to hang himself. 😁
