  1. Agreed.....mind you I'm in a tribute band.
  2. There's something in this I have a Mike Lull (fantastic) a Maruszczyk (nearly as good) and a Bass Collection precision that cost £100, which is not quite as good as the other 2 but not far behind at all. If I gigged the Bass Collection no-one would notice the difference sound-wise and it looks good too. Maybe as I'm an old git I remember the awful cheapo basses and guitars from the 70's which is why I've bought the expensive stuff
  3. Lovely. I have a Lull M4V which is fantastic. I'm off to count the sheckles and may well come back to you very soon
  4. The Immigrant Song and a few other Zep classics by JPJ after hearing ramble on and remembering what a lovely melodic bass line that is and just found this by the man himself so will be giving this a look/listen later
  5. I tried learning that one too....I only got half way there 😎
  6. Some i like...strictly for example. They present it like a panto which is entertaining and what the contestants are trying to do is difficult. Me and my lad used to drool over Ola Jordan (my lad is 28, so he's old enough to drool) and the missus worships the show so we always watch it. Some of the Bear Grylls stuff is good too. Now as to Love Island....do not get me started!
  7. I've bought and sold loads of stuff on eBay on here and a few on Facebook. I prefer selling on here though. The key to selling on eBay is to list towards the and of the month, pick a weekend when the fees are £1 (this weekend for example) and make the listing as full as possible. Good pics, complete description etc. I usually for a BIN option, with offers. Always offer courier delivery. Buying off eBay is best if the item is collection only and is near enough to collect. I sold a 2015 Gibson Thunderbird for the full asking and I'd added enough to cover fees. The buyer told me he'd been loot for one for a while and when mine popped up he just hit the BIN button! I've also just picked up a Beyer mic stand in great nick for £15 which was 2 miles from my office.
  8. There's still good stuff to be found...me and Mrs H are addicted to Antiques Roadtrip! The beeb comes up with some good drama, The Capture being a good example. As for adverts, we mostly watch on catch up or delay watching a 9pm programme until 9.15 (using the 15 minutes to make the tea, nip down the shop for some choccie biccies etc) and then fforward through the dreadverts.....Simples! (oh bugger, they've got me)
  9. Nearly the weekend bump
  10. Really....you guys n gals watch this shizzle...???
  11. They're fab basses, but not known by the general public.... enjoy
  12. I had a blue Sandberg just like it....and a single pick up job but in Sunburst. Fantastic basses especially for that money Enjoy!
  13. This is a bloomin billy bargain https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.co.uk%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F264596412866
  14. Our PA is in my garage so I have to spend the afternoon checking stuff still works and that I've remembered everything, including my own gear. On the way to a gig I'll be worrying if I remembered to put the power amp (or my amp) in, and I have occasionally stopped mid journey just to check
  15. SimBass bought my Bergantino cabs. Fuss-free transaction and great communication. Thank you Phil
  16. A most beaudacious bass guitar type thing dude Party on!
  17. Looks like Rory in his early forties when he was the worse for drink most of the time. He still nails the improv lead work tho. Saw him live back in 73ish at Birmingham Town Hall. Huge energy on stage and a fantastic player. I was gutted when he passed. Deuce is still one of my favourite albums.
  18. Now now...don't diss the G-man
  19. Trade for a fretted Yamaha 5 string - just a straight sale now, just purchased a Yammy 5iver Got this in a trade off Walshy of this parish and it's been my main gigging amp for 2 years, paired with the 1x12 Bergs also for sale (Bergs now sold) These amps are great and you can get a wide variety of tones from them, although if you're a metalhead, you'll probably be looking for something with more dirt I've had the bass tone pot replaced as it started malfunctioning - just a note that the pot doesn't 'notch' at the mid point And anyway, the best bit......the amp goes up to 11! (I've never had it up that loud btw) Selling as I've got a Glockenklang Blue Rock and a Barefaced Super 12 as my main rig now (all bought from BC) I can meet up within reason or courier at your cost.
  20. Up for sale are my Bergantino 1x12 cabs. They are the HT112 and the EX112. The HT112 has the variable tweeter. The cabs are rated at 350 watts at 8 ohms. I've run them with my EBSHD360 head and they sound epic (head also for sale in another listing) I want to sell these as a pair. They come with the correct Berg covers. there's what looks like a fag burn on the top of the HT112 (not done by me) I've had these for about 3 years and gigged them regularly and I often get complimented on my sound (but not my technique...lol) - they're light enough for a 1 hand carry Selling as I'm using a Glockenklang blue rock and a Barefaced Super 12 as my main rig now I can meet up within reason or courier (they'd be expensive to courier due to the weight) - happy to get a rate for you Here's some blurb Model HT112 specifications: 1-12" cast frame woofer w/ 80oz. magnet, vented pole piece high intelligibility bullet tweeter power handling - 350 watts rms custom phase - coherent crossover with tweeter level control frequency response: 48hz - 18khz sensitivity: 97db anechoic: 2.83v/1m impedance: 8 ohms dimensions: 15"H x 17-1/2"W x 13"D weight: 39lbs.
