  1. Very enjoyable, thanks for posting
  2. They'll last me at least 9 months. Be interesting to see how you get on with the cobalt flats
  3. I heard an even better one by Mike Lull. Guy bought a used Lull neck of eBay and found it was warped when it arrived. He contacted Mike Lull who said he'd fix it. Guy sends neck to Mike, who fixes it and sends it back to the guy without charge and not even charging for the carriage!
  4. I use GHS pressure wounds. You get the zing on the g string, but the E string played up the dusty end has more bite than flats.
  5. Horslips, The Book of Invasions. It appeals to my Celtic heritage. Love the album cover too
  6. Good call!
  7. Congratulations grandad! I have two wonderful grandkids and they are pure joy Bass thing? A new hat.....all bass players wear hats don't they?
  8. I give you Ian 'Mole' Etteridge Played on the same bill as him once (not with Godsend). He's amazing
  9. A very sexy bass. GLWTS
  10. .....and she's buying a stairway to Heaven I think not, Amazon don't have a box big enough
  11. This 👆 A great drummer makes the band. The best interpretive drummer I've played with is on this track... Mel - who wrote, produced, played guitar and did all the vocals on this track is in the band I'm in - we're very lucky to have her. Davide Gallo is the drummer she used and did a great job of interpretation I thought.
  12. The Everly Pregnant Brothers are great - the lead singer is an undertaker! Here's one of theirs that vied for Christmas No1 3 years ago apologies to Kings of Leon fans....
  13. And on that subject
  14. The Cort Jeff Berlin Rithimic is reputed to be a banger for a relatively small amount of beer tokens https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/223981449341
  15. I've never owned or played an Ibanez but I'm inclined to agree that the Tanglewood would be a sideways/downward step. The Sire v7 jazz is a nice bass for around £300 used.
  16. Ah, missed that....I checked the lists you posted too! I'll get my coat 🙂
  17. Give Valentine's Day a try. We love it and it's become our favourite warm up/warm down/play it whenever song. Phil
  18. We've done Laughing Gnome a couple of times by request. You're right, fans love it - we're not keen He was a big fan of Anthony Newley at the time so he wrote Gnome in that style trying to become famous.
  19. We did the whole of the Ziggy Stardust album, in the correct order once as a first set. It worked really well and we'll do it again when (if) we start gigging again
  20. We do 'Slip Away', it's a fabulous song. It took us a bit of time to get the groove right and it's much better now we have a sax player (most songs are tbh - especially 'Soul Love')
  21. Lots of bass for beer money
  22. I'm with you there @Clarky I don't gel with a big chunky neck either - shame as it's a lovely bass
  23. He was an intellectual thinker from what I can gather, which comes out in some of his later, less well known songs I think
  24. Welcome Cog Love the David Bowie quote - I'm in a Bowie Tribute band so have picked up a bit of intel on the man but hadn't come across that one.
