Odd thing to sell here I guess....but £45 ONO + P&P and its yours. If you are near NE Lincs, feel free to pickup! I am going to be based in London from end of Jan 2010, so If you are based there I can save it. Mint condition, loud as hell, great sound, obviously the front flips off and it has a case you can put it in. The power cable cost me £16 alone...so its a bargain for £45 for the lot.
+1 I've had Mesa's,Ampegs, Sunns,TE,Markbass mostly Valve amps and my RH450 + TC 212+210 gets so close to the Tube amps sound wise it's amazing,I think the TC cabs make a lot of difference to the head TBH with being vertical aligned and work so well together-you get the sound right at ear level with very little volume.
Agreed its very tubey!
Hi all Anyone have the copy of Bass Guitar Magazine review of the RH450 in issue 43? I only started subscribing at issue 44, and the BGM website doesn't let you examine the full article, for some reason... PM me if you like. Happy nearly New Year everybody! Pete
I think they have the review on the TC site....

This is a feeler. I've got my eye on some bits n pieces. You know the info on these. I bought this off Clarky, it's mint and it's set up very nicely with TI flats, (expensive on their own!). You can read the Fender blurb here and see it with the other guard which is supplied: http://www.fender.com/products/search.php?partno=0190462755 Awesome Olympic White with a deep dark rosewood board. A massive improvement on the previous Ps/Js, and the case is bloomin amazing! No issues, perfect condition, fitted with an official black guard but also comes with the lovely official tort guard as well. SOLD PENDING!

Found a summary review on the cab: "If you've ever had the chance to play through a Bergantino cabinet, you already know they represent a much higher standard than the typical offerings. If you've never tried one, the HS series will open your ears to a new level of tonal excellence. With its focus on efficiency, the HS410 will bring out the best your bass and amp have to offer. They cost more, but for several good reasons. 1) They are conceived with clearly set design goals, and those goals are not compromised with a "price-point" consciousness. 2) The engineering behind the concept is top-notch. Every component has been configured to meet the goal of the cabinet. There are no "off the rack" parts involved. 3) They are designed and built in the US under the watchful eye of Jim Bergantino. 4) They sound wicked good—wicked!"

I reckon a GK 1001 would be enough...definitely. If you want to stay small, and would like a more tubey amp with lots of options, I seriously would test the TC Elec RH450. Once I heard one I had to have one....its a really really nice amp. Don't let the 450 rating put you off...
You get a nice MM Stingray. Two, actually: fretted and fretless. Seriously, no love for the 'Ray? To me, there are three basic rock bass sounds: Precision, Jazz and Stingray. You're one down, Mr B.
+1 Thats the way forward.

I am a convert to this amp. Having recently swapped my Shuttle 9.0 that had a fault, for this amp....it is a massive difference. Much better quality construction.....the tone is awesome, and the features are very very good. My favourite micro amp by far. Even the cabs impressed me...so I might get some!

Can some one explain the whole Musicman, Stingray, Sterling thing
thanks for the reply. Im soooooo close to ordering one form Soundslive. If i get it before next week it will be slightly cheaper due to the VAT rise in Jan, and i can return it within 7 days if i dont get on with it. I think second hand is fine but brand new gives me the option of getting exactly what i want. Now ;-)
That 7 day test is a good idea. If you dont like it...youve lost the price of sending it back....which isnt a lot. -
Bump moving soon
Gorgeous! I'm after getting a 4x10 in the new year to replace my, according to my band mates, 'f***ing heavy' svt 810. Personally, I think they're just being a set of wimps If its still there in January, and no'1s had it off your hands, I may there with some lovely cash for ya Good luck with the sale man!
Thanks. Feel free to test out if you decide it might be for you. This will definitely give you a really really massive sound despite it being 4 less speakers than an 8x10.

Can some one explain the whole Musicman, Stingray, Sterling thing
Musicman20 replied to dave_bass5's topic in Bass Guitars
Ive got my eye on a SR4, 3 band EQ, Black with maple neck. So far the only things im sure of are it has to be a 4 string and have 3 Band EQ. Not overly fussed about the colour but im not really in to bursts or bright colours. White is also good but ive not seen any come up second hand recently.
The black on Rays looks great in the flesh. All Rays have a really thick polish finish which, IMO, is one of the nicest out there. Aren't we sad not taking a day off bass for Xmas haha! -

It's weird how natural looks so good with Stingrays. I personally used to be addicted to Natural finish but now I've only got the Ray and my USA Telecaster in Natural. It's a good look! Now I'm addicted to White because now I don't associate it with 80s metal. Sunburst is also great on a Ray. -
Have to say that I have used many Ampeg units but they were hired in so may have had a few miles on them. I think the Amps are better but the cabs I'd give a miss. If people say the newer models are better then ok, their info might be more upto date, but traditionally you needed 2 cabs or a 8x10 as the power was very poor pre speaker...300watts for an 8x10 is not good by any stretch, so a modern 4x10 should be delivering 600watts RMS easily with decent chassis' today, by my thinking. If you want a decent cab.. and some might say the BEST 4x10 around, then the above poster has a BERG 4 x10 which might be worth a think about. Just my 2p...
Cheers JTUK.....I didnt think about that!
