1. Obbm....definitely.

3. Fantastic price ! I had the 400 watt version and it was damn damn good! Very loud and crisp amps. Good luck with the sale.
4. I still love my m212. Gas is getting thebetter of me though. I've changed my shuttle 9 order for an rh450. Now I'm looking at the rs cabs but the tecamp would have to be sold. I'm probably best sticking with the m212.
5. +1 for the seafoam / maple
6. Oh man that's bad news! I do the same as a lot of players... Put my belt buckle way out of the way above my left hip. I'm thinking of getting one of those pads Clarky uses!
7. I always want to go down but I'm still right up north until January! Enjoy
8. After hearing amps / cabs by both, Aguilar wins hands down.
9. I'm awaiting a punk revival, as in a revival of the mid 90s melodic punk that was incredibly quick, tight, and quite technical. No use for a name, Lagwagon, etc
10. I once used one of those cabs when the backline was provided...it was actually damn fine...especially for the price.
11. Hey chaps Well, its done and dusted now. The Shuttle 9.0 is going back as there appears to be some problems with my particular unit. I am also convinced ‘it is not the tone I am looking for’, (Star Wars moment). However, GAS is still with me for a great full featured new micro, so I have now ordered the TC Electronics RH450, RH450 Bag and RC4 Floor Pedal. Believe it or not, I managed to get it for even cheaper in the end for the package from the Bass Merchant guys…so that’s another saving which is great. Kudos to them for being so helpful. I did ask around about the units at £699, and apparently one store in particular had them up for that as they had two ex-demo amps…which im not really willing to go for. Id rather pay the extra £40 and get a brand new sealed unit. Im actually looking at the cabs as well….you can use 3 at once which is just crazy…but I probably should just leave it at the amp Anyways, I’ll report back when it all comes in. Looking forward to the Tecamp M212 + TC combination….and the Berg HS410….that will be interesting! Cheers
12. I can only find them for 743
13.
Well, when chatting to Mark at Bass Direct he told me that the Shuttle was great for 'precise' and 'clinical' attack and uncoloured bass sound - that made me change my mind and head TC Rebel-wards I'm neither clinical or overly precise and tend to get more rock and metal gigs than acoustic, solo bass and all round cleverness type gigs and the fact that I can make the rig sound dirty is a bonus The fact that TC have had people such as Steve Bailey, Janek, Rocco Prestia, Nick Beggs and Ida Funkhouser being and sounding groovy with it as well as Ampeg fans digging the sound, for me at least, was convincing enough that this is a very versatile rig
This is also kinda why I go towards the TC...plus its just uber cool. I have my Markbass for the cleaner and more quicker bass stuff I might play, and he TC can handle that plus more rock n roll but without always needing to take tuner/sansamp, (which I have to keep anyway for the other amps).
FWIW I'm loving my Shuttle 9, but then I don't play rock/metal and love a tight clean sound, I play that way too... it's an awesome amp but undoubtedly designed with certain players in mind, TC have signed up lots of very techincal players too - Rich Bona, Dom DiPiazza, Steve Bailey, Janek - it's all a matter of what suits your style. No doubt this is the start of a new era in bass amplification, I'm loving my choice so far but no doubt this tug of opinions on the Class Ds will run and run.
I agree....its horses for courses. The Shuttle idea is great, but much more for a totally clean and clinical uncoloured sound. I thought Id dig it, but Ive been rock/punk for too long .....I think Markbass is the cleanest Ill go. The Class D amp war is very interesting.....great time to be getting new rigs! Enjoy it
14.
Sorry to hear that. Hope you get all your money back. Im glad you posted about the difference in tone between the LM3 and Shuttle. I think ill maybe hold off for now. Ive only played a few other heads during the time ive had my MB heads but i too also find the MB's to be fuller and warmer than the other heads i played. I was quite surprised at the difference between my SA450 and my GK 1001RBII when i had both at a couple of gigs. I got the GK for a bit more volume but found it actually quieter if i wanted a clean punchy sound.
Thanks Dave....its being sorted and with no probs. I think im going for the TC head...and then I wont need an amp for about 10 years with all the stuff I have to play with. It has very useful features, and I think a more warm sound. The 450 watts is apparently very very honest, as in its loud loud loud, and not just a company saying its 700-800 watts when it isnt.
Sorry to hear your experiences with the Shuttle ain't been that good... You should just wait for the 1000W version of the Terror Bass then matey! I'm very close to pulling the trigger on a 500W version, just waiting to hear how it compares to the LittleMark, assuming it does well, I'll be a proud owner of one very soon! Cheers, Eude
Cheers man I think ill wait and see what happens with the Bass Terror. Id like one....but I might wait to see if they do release the 1000W version. Then again, I think the TC will cover everything I need. I just like the fact the TC has so much you can change, but in a very very fluid and precise way...and no useless features. Now Ive found them at a more reasonable price, its only £50 or so more than the Shuttle if I bought that with the bag and Genz pedal.

16. I have two....never had this problem....but then again I did have them set up after they had been sent from EB. Just raise the pickup or lower the G string.... Hope you get it sorted!
17. I'm considering going for this amp + pedal + bag when I return my Shuttle 9.0 thats had some problems. I found the Shuttle a little too 'thin'....very very clean and light, but not my sound. Will this amp deliver the goods?
18. I found the Pre-tube really hard to push on the 9, even when I followed the guidelines off talkbass and used an active hotter input bass. I got some grit, but not enough for me. On the other hand I've heard the tube tone on the rh450 works very well, and it's inherently warm anyway. All these micro heads are very clever, but I must admit some of them are too clinical for me. Then again I'm used to the insane sound my orange has so I think I'm always going to like the more rock orientated amps. The lm3 is pure brilliance and does warm/quick/precise really well.
19. I think 899 with the pedal and gig bag makes it a pretty good deal.
20. Unfortunately I think I managed to get unlucky and my shuttle 9 doesn't sit flat, and Genz thinks it's a chassis issue, it's definitely not the feet as I tried it the other way up and same thing. Not only that, it actually shut off at about 1/7th master volume into one 4 ohm cab. This one is being returned. The store and genz have been super helpful. I must admit after testing when I discovered the problems I prefer the LM3. I think I'm not a hifi sound kinda player. The markbass still feels bigger and warmer, the genz has the ultra clean sparkle but I think it might not be my thing. I'm thinking of spending a little more and get the TC Elec RH450 as it just seems very very pro and solid. I'm giving up on the search for high wattage, I'll never use it! The shuttle 9.0 will be great for ultra clean players who don't want the massive warmth.
21. Im super paranoid anyway so I always hold my bass....all the time If I can. But, the red rubber rings work very well...very difficult to put on and get off! I think ill use them for now...at all times. If I have so much of a glimmer of a problem ill look into straplocks...
22. Good find Clarky. I'm glad you found 'the one'.
23.
Hey guys Still very excited about getting my 9.0 but I'm just thinking how it'll perform through a small cab like a 1x10 or a 1x12, I'm sure it'll be cool but it's a bit crazy to think how it'll behave through a tiny speaker, I'm pretty sure it'll rock the house through my Epi UL210, that cab is just great and was kicking it out beautifully on my gig last night just can't wait to take the Shuttle out instead of my Epi UL502 which is awesome but heavy to lug to gigs! Any thoughts people? M
I dont have any cabs that are on the small end of the spectrum...which is a shame...but I think if you use 1 1x12 make sure you watch the volume. Im paranoid about overpowering stuff, so maybe you dont need to worry too much. But 500W into a 1x12 could be ok....if you watch your master. The 2x10 will kick arse
24. Ok, there about 5000 threads on straps but I thought I'd ask my own questions. I use Fender/EB straps, and they seem to do the job. I don't use straplocks really, I use the rubber rings method because they seem to work, and they don't make a noise. Are there any you can buy that don't involve screwing new pins in? Also, what is the overall view as some of the very best current straps? I see the comfort strapps seem popular, do they ever snap? How about the mono straps?
25. Hey Just got my Shuttle 9 and I want to be able to use it in silence with just the amp, an iPod plugged in and with headphones. Few questions, where is the best place to get the cable going from my iPod to the Shuttle? Also, what kind of headphones would be best/most comfortable and what cables will I need?
