1. i had a claim last year for a guitar left on someones doorstep without a signature. UPS booked through a different website. they admitted fault right through and eventually paid up but strung it out as long as humanly possible. Took well over a month to get reimbursed.
2. https://youtu.be/Hu0u0XvvWu0 Saw these guys in bass guitar magazine. Neo medieval folk band from Ukraine who have a drummer and three bass players but the drummer sometimes plays bass too! Amazing what can be done with only basses.
3. I play in an indie covers band. I often think to myself "why would anyone play in a jazz band?" I bet that would be an interesting thread to start! Indie is a broad church as has already been said but I get a lot of enjoyment out of simple bass lines. It frees me up to enjoy the groove 🤘🏻 I don't have to think too hard about what I'm playing, just enjoy playing it.
4. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/252831809855 Comes with free blood on the strings, who can resist?
5. The guy is a legend! Never forget his Dave Lee Roth phase, Billy Sheehan and Steve Vai used to be called the power twins XD
6. I tried them on my Warwick. Sounded nice, bright but I like that. They felt a bit too rough for my liking. Not bad for the price but I wouldn't buy them again.
7. if i recall correctly with fake goods you don't return the item but have to send paypal images to confirm you have destroyed the item! stops the seller reselling fake goods. there was a story a few years back where paypal insisted a possibly fake stradivaruius violin was destroyed even though it was sold as a possible fake and was still worth a mint!
8. Look at this on eBay http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/252710682886 I'm too far away otherwise I'd snap it up.
9. One of these sold on Gumtree near me last month for £70!
10. we should all be more understanding, good to see blindness is no longer an impediment for becoming a luthier.
11. as mentioned look for a vintage v300, bloody great guitar. can be had for peanuts second hand. had one for a while but realised i prefer electric but is a seriously good guitar for the money,
12. Looking at the citizens advice page. Once you have a contract it is clear cut, item is yours at that price. Finance agreed is a contract, deposit paid, I'd be hopeful.
13.
I watched this a few weeks ago. It's pretty good and common sense for stage craft. I've implemented quite a bit of it. No dancing required, just some basic ideas.
good video, thanks for posting
14. i'm just about to start gigging and am very concious of this, hopefulyy some good tips will stand me in good stead. saw a couple of bands last year where the first band stood pretty still and the second band worked the stage and looked like they were having a great time. the difference in how they come across to the audience really got me thinking.

16. Amazon have some great USA Gibson deals today, mostly Les Paul but they have a Gibson Thunderbird for £799.
17. Good to see Pete Trewavas on there. Love a bit of Marillion.
18. made me think of Peter Kay's "Chorley fm... coming in your ears" radio jingle
19. there are no sounds a nob makes that i ever want amplifying those crazy Germans.
20. never thought i'd say this but i'd rather have a standard bc rich mockingbird! jesus that thing is ugly.
21.
"F spaced" on a pickup means it's pole pieces are spaced for use with Floyd Rose Tremolo systems, not Fender guitars.
according to http://www.sweetwater.com/insync/mystery-of-f-spacing-humbucker/ the f is for Fender! A: F-spacing refers to the widest spacings on full-sized humbucking pickups. For correct string alignment and a balanced output, F-spaced humbuckers should be used in the bridge position on guitars with string spacing at the bridge of 2.1″ or 53mm (or greater). If the nut width is 1-11/16″ or 43mm (or greater) F-spaced pickups can be used in the neck position. Why two different standards? Originally the electric guitar world was pretty much split between Gibson and Fender designs, and one of the differences (besides scale length) was string spacing. Gibson typically chose a narrower string spacing at the bridge than Fender, so the polepieces on Gibson humbuckers would be closer together than the magnets on Fender pickups. When guitar shops (and serious do-it-yourselfers) started installing humbuckers in the bridge position of Strats, the strings didn’t line up with the polepieces. If the top and bottom E strings were too far outside the polepieces, the sound could suffer. Floyd Rose-equipped guitars have string-spacing the same as Fender spacing, so it naturally evolved that these pickups were called “F-spaced.”
