  1. Waiting for the Brian Johnson interview with Paul Rodgers, just checked and it’s on next Friday (12th) night, already set to record in case I forget.
  2. Although not an original band, these ladies can really rock. 👍
  3. Just checked the weight of my Sub by feel against my original MM and the Sub feels just a bit lighter. I purchased the Sub as a back up and was expecting a similar sound to my MM, I surprised that it wasn’t, I use a fair bit of compression on the MM to give me a nice snappy sound, with exactly the same set up with the Sub it sounds horrible, it gives a distorted muffled sound, I had to reset all the EQ on my amp and zero compression to get somewhere near my preferred sound. I would assume the Sub has cheaper electronics/pick up which is giving it a harsher gravely sound.
  4. The Doobies.
  5. My pal has just booked our band for his sons wedding in August 2022 !!

  7. Journey’s road crew having a mess around, pretty impressive.
  8. December 2002 Nottingham Arena INXS (with new singer) and Blondie INXS on first, very good. Blondie, appalling, vocals totally flat, walked out after three songs. The only live gig I have ever left early.
  9. Currently on (Saturday 4.00 to 6.15pm) classic artists, Yes. Very interesting documentary.
  10. We currently have “ No Matter What” in our set, great song, really enjoy playing it and doing backing vocals.
  11. Been attempting Tom Sawyer by Rush over the last couple of days, it’s stretching my ability to its limit, especially the section over the synth playing mid song, getting it up to speed and correct phrasing gave me a headache. I’m determined to crack it.
  12. Life’s Been Good - Joe Walsh

  15. Currently obsolete - Madonna - Holiday George Michael - Freedom Mamas and Papas - Leaving on a jet plane Chris Rea - On the Beach
  16. This just gives me goosebumps and makes me feel emotional.
  17. Simon Kirke. As I know most of the Free songs down to a tee, I would feel very comfortable getting up on stage with him doing the songs from his early days, it would be an absolute dream.
  18. I did also have the privilege of playing with an Ex Quo drummer, Jeff Rich, beautiful DW kit with the most awesome snare sound, that snare has some history. Ludwig Black Beauty Jeff plays a Ludwig Black Beauty Snare which was made in 1979. The drum was originally owned by Rick Allen from Def Leppard and was used on various Def Leppard albums including Pyromania and Hysteria. The drum was also used on a Mettalica album, Master of Puppets. Jeff bought the drum off Rick whilst working with Def Leppard in 1984/5 after Rick lost an arm in a car accident. Jeff has used the drum on many Status Quo albums and concerts and says, “This drum is without doubt one of the best rock snare drums ever produced. The sound is fantastic and it has never let me down”.
  19. Just heard this on the radio, totally forgot about it and I have the album.
