  1. I happened to dip into the final 30 minutes, never heard of The Nightingales before, unfortunately I was left unimpressed by the whole band. 👎
  2. Tonight (Friday) at 8.00pm. Back to basics pub rock movement that emerged in the South of England in the 1970’s.
  3. Humans (Homo Sapiens), we are a species of highly intelligent (questionable at times) primates, as a species we rely on complex social structures and social interacting. The pandemic has virtually ceased social interacting (normality) and until that returns, unfortunately none of your issues listed will be high on the list of priorities.
  4. Thanks for the heads up, both concerts set up for record.👍
  5. The Dead Daisies, Mr Hughes playing some tasty bass lines.
  6. The only pub gig in May might be at the Queen Vic in Eastenders, they appear to be open as normal during this current lockdown.
  7. The top one sometimes if it was top of a bundle from the wholesaler usually had your delivery/box number label stuck to it.
  8. Come Together - The Meters
  9. I had one of these HF 15 when I was gigging the larger venues, seriously great bottom end.
  10. The Pretty Reckless, what a glorious set of pipes she has.
  11. Due to no gigs since March 2020, mine has reduced quite a lot.
  12. Quite a mix this week. To Love Somebody - Bee Gees Moby Richard - Zeppelin Iron Man - Sabbath Jean Genie - Bowie
  13. Cracking Joey B track, brilliant bass playing by Michael Rhodes.
  14. Well said, that’s exactly how I feel regarding chasing landlords for gigs, not the time.
  15. This beautiful song by Gloria Estefan, stunning vocal makes the hairs on my neck stand up.
  16. Didn’t need one this year, every gig we had was crossed out ☹️
  17. The wife and I had our flu jabs (first for us) on Wednesday, I think we were in and out within fifteen minutes, no side effects at all.👍
  18. Hertfordshire into Tier 3.
  19. If you play in the Bowie tribute circles, you must have come across my old friend and former band mate Paul Henderson.
  20. Steely Dan for me, incredible musicianship and tighter than a gnats chuff whichever line up they are using.
  21. Unfortunately this will be the case with pubs/venues in lots of towns and cities in the U.K. ☹️☹️☹️
  22. Fingers crossed, on a beach in St Lucia, it all went tits up this May, so we booked again for May 2021.
