1. MTD CRB is a quality P bass with a very slim neck.
2. Not Quite a new bass day as I picked this up last week. Bit of a bargain on flea bay so I bought it on a whim to give 5 strings another go. It needed a good clean new strings and set up and while I'm still not sure 5 strings are for me, it is a cracking bass for the money. B string is really clear, good tone and really easy to play. If I keep it it may get a bit of modding, possibly a Kiogon loom or a preamp and new pickups, any recommendations gratefully recieved but nothing too pricey please. Crap photo attached.
3. Nice bass, very cool. Have a bump.glwts on me glwts
4.
Just use 2 Hiwatts flat out through 4 off 4 x 12s with old Fane 50w speakers. There's the sound, no mystery. It'll be bloody loud though.
Is that one of those lightweight modular rigs? Doesn't it also help to hit the stings really hard almost above the neck?
5. My 9 year old daughter said at dinner the other day "I don't like Justin bieber", "that's cos he's a bell end" was my reflex response. My wife didn't seem to think that was the best thing to say but I stand by my comments and glad my daughter has taste!

7. It's a regular music action. My uncle who plays oboe and does various musical things travels up from Essex on a regular basis to go to the woodwind auctions so I know he holds them in fairly high regard. Watch out for the fees though, they can add quite a bit to the winning bid.

Bristol Bash

Pub I was hoping to use is booked and as not much interest in don't think this will happen. Be good to do something next year though.
9. Sold
10. Marshall MB15 practice amp for sale. Couple of minor nick's in the tolex but otherwise in very good condition. 8 inch speaker, 15 watts, 2 channels classic (overdriven) and modern (clean), aux in, headphone out, compressor. Sounds really good for a little amp. Selling to free up some space and its not really needed at the moment. £40 collected from Bristol or I'm happy to post at buyers cost (I guess about a tenner for UK mainland) and risk. You are welcome to try it if you are interested. Please let me know if you have any questions. Cheers
11. And sold
12. I get a load of bottom end out of my obt through a bf compact. Maybe a change of cab would help and be easier on the back too?

Bristol Bash

I was gutted I couldn't make the recent South West bash so wondered, if I can sort a venue, would anyone be interested in a Bristol bash before Xmas. I know it's short notice but I've just had my 2 December gigs cancelled so feel I need something bass related in my life before Xmas!
14. Well ignoring the advice to stick with bf Cabs I've just found a good deal on a b stock OBT combo and before I knew it I'd bought it! I'll update on how it sounds with the the compact when it gets here next week.
15. Some interest at the moment but it's still available so back to the top.
16. Amp stand would be cheaper but it always sounds like I lose some tone when the cab isn't on the floor. Thanks for the comment frank. You are right it's an early gen 2 compact and I've heard good things about the midgit compact combination. This may sound stupid but what do you mean by "running out of steam". Cheers Steve
17. I currently really like my set up of obt head into bf compact but I'd like something taller to help me hear and also less bulky for rehearsals and space in the house. My current thought is to change the head for an obt combo and just use this for home/rehearsals and pair it with the compact for gigging. Has anyone tried this and do the 2 sound good together? My other thought is possibly a 2nd hand midgit but think this will cost more. Cheers Steve
18. bump
