  1. My yamaha bb1100s has been with me since i was 17 and dispite loads of tinkering i cant find one i like the sound of better. The Shergold Marathon my wife got me for my 40th last year runs it a very close 2nd though.
  2. Cant believe this is still here. I like these old arias. Glwts have a bump
  3. How does £35 plus postage sound for the body and neck as i want to keep the pick up and kiogon loom for another project. Origional electrics will be included but the tone pot was iffy and the wire has come off the 2 parts of the pick up. If you are handy with a soldering iron this is a bargain for a project.
  4. I bought a squier p bass from lawrie. Easy transaction and a nice bloke to have a chat about basses with. Id happily deal with him again. Good luck with the baby! Steve
  5. Thanks. Those goosenecks look interesting.
  6. Can anyone out there recommend a good not too expensive headset mic? The issue is that our drummer has a good, if not very loud singing voice and does some really nice bv on a couple of songs. The issue is he cant get a mic on a stand in the position he likes so bought a cheap maplins headset mic. This is fine at rehearsal but feeds back at gig volume and we can never hear him. He is thinking of upgrading but looking for suggestions of what to get. Cheers
  7. Dont need, cant afford, but very tempted. Looks lovely for mim jazz money. Have a bump.glwts
  8. Id go playabilty. Ive sold great sounding basses cos i couldn't get on with the necks (Gibson G3 and Peavey T20 spring to mind) and as much as i live the looks and tone of Rics and Tbirds i have the feel of them. In saying that i like the feel of all my basses at the moment but my yamaha is still my go to for gigs as it sounds the best.
  9. Can i have 2nd dibs if it hasnt gone already. Pm on the way Thanks

Sorry for the dealy in sorting something for this work has got in the way (new job). I'll try and have a chat with a venue this week but I'm thinking of early May if this works for people.
  11. Im in bristol (Downend) and happy to help if i can. I'll see if i can pull my finger out and sort a bristol bash as promised in the events section (sorry work has got in the way) and hopefully we can get a few of us in the same place at the same time. Do you have a deadline for this?
  12. Gert lush as they say round here Glwts
  13. Fine to use my thread but just want to point out my son doesn't come with this bass as in the drop box pic! Deal in confidence and at that price this is a bargain as i thought the £500 i paid was a fair price.GLWTS
  14. What a bargain. Worth it for the case alone. Wish i was closer. Glwts
  15. Been a while but lets try another bump.
  16. Bought a hohner b2a from Mike. All as described, good chat and lots of nice basses to look at. Top bloke to deal with and id happily trade with him again. Cheers

Yup. I'll try and have a chat with the landlord over the weekend unless anyone knows anywhere else. Staple Hill portcullis only has a tiny car park but there is a large public one just behind it.
  18. Never heard it before but I like it.

I've not organised one before but I can try and sort a venue. A pub near me (Bs16 Staple Hill) I've rehearsed at before has a large function room and skittle alley. It's not the prettiest but could be functional and about 5 to 10 min from m32.
