1. Tobias Growler 4 String for sale with a Tobias hard case. Very light, very playable, modern sounding bass guitar. I have owned this bass about a year and it was a real heart over head purchase from this forum as my sons name is Tobias. Im looking to get back what i paid for it which was £500. Only selling as the tone is too modern sounding for my taste and as such it doesnt get played as much as it should. It does however have a fantastic slap tone is so easy to play i almost feel competant at slapping with this bass. The asymetric neck is very easy to play. It is one of the lightest I've played and shows about 7.5 lbs on my luggage scales. Photos at: https://www.dropbox.com/sc/vabpdi5rpvb830x/AACNZI1XISOgo-i8pV-yetk6a There are a couple of marks on the body near the pickup and a scratch on the head which I've tried to show in the pics. The pickup and preamp were changed before i got it to a Seymour Duncan Basslines pickup and i believe a seymour duncan preamp (not 100% sure on that). The down side of this is one of the treble boost switches and one of the 2 band eq switches dont work due to the Basslines pickup being dual coil unlike the Bartolini Quad coil that was the original. Bass is in Downend Bristol and you are welcome to try it or postage for about £25 is also fine. I would be interested in any interesting trades especially for a Peavey T40, Shergold Marathon or Modulator, Guild B301/302 , interesting Jap Crap or any non fender basses from 1975 of a similar value to this. Also a cheap non epiphone Tobias (eg Toby Pro) or MTD RD plus cash may interest me. What have you got I can only say no. I would prefer face to face meet up for any trades. Let me know if you have any further questions. I did also buy a 2nd hand Bartolini quadcoil pickup to fit but didnt get round to. happy to include or sell seperatly for an aditional £50..
2. As I've not heard back from the potential buyer its back up for sale again.

7. if you are in Bristol it might be worth a call to heron or treblerock as it may be the sort of thing they can help with. Id offer a loan if it helps as i dont have a gig for a couple of weeks but ive only gota couple of 4 strings at the mo. A tobias growler and my trusty old yamaha bb1100s (which is really versitile) but you are welcome to try them if it helps.

J&D P Bass

Has anyone here tried the J&D P bass that dv247 has for £80 and if so what are they like? i know there is a lot of love for the 75 jazz they do but havent seen much about about the P. http://www.dv247.com/guitars/jandd-yc-pb-4-string-bass-guitar-black--201637 thinking of a cheap p like this or the £60 harley benton to ugrade the electrics and use as a backup. new basses for cheaper then a 2nd hand squier seem a bit too good to be true.
9. Behringer Phaser Pedal for sale £10 collected from Downend in Bristol or £13 posted. Bought from this very forum a couple of months ago and selling as ive just bought an ehx small stone as this one goes a bit too trebley and is quite a subtle phase. I think it would work better with a guitar but is a cheap phaser if anyone want to give one a go. Any questions let me know.cheers
10. matt bought a behringer od pedal from me clear comms and a quick payment. I'd happily deal with him again. cheers
11. how does the entwistle sound? I've just ordered one for a similar project?
12. i shipped a trace 1x15 last year and ended up using citilink booked through interparcel .
13.
In terms of hatred, traditional Irish music, I cannot stand it. I also don`t like what is laughingly called R&B nowadays - R&B is Dr Feelgood!
amen to that
14. ive tried many basses against my old bb1100s and none have beaten it. stingray came close but that has gone now. it may not be the prettiest but for tone and playability its very hard to beat. oh and if you can find one it should only cost you about £300.
15. oh and coldplay but that goes without saying really!
16.
I can tolerate almost anything in the background. 'Turn the radio off' reserved for Cindi Lauper - Girls Just Wanna Have Fun, and the entire collected works of the Lighthouse Family and Snow Patrol.
completly age with the last 2 on there. i have to turn a radio off whenever Wonderwall comes on. i can't understand why oasis are so popular but wonderwall is my pet hate!
