if you are in Bristol it might be worth a call to heron or treblerock as it may be the sort of thing they can help with.
Id offer a loan if it helps as i dont have a gig for a couple of weeks but ive only gota couple of 4 strings at the mo. A tobias growler and my trusty old yamaha bb1100s (which is really versitile) but you are welcome to try them if it helps.
Has anyone here tried the J&D P bass that dv247 has for £80 and if so what are they like? i know there is a lot of love for the 75 jazz they do but havent seen much about about the P. http://www.dv247.com/guitars/jandd-yc-pb-4-string-bass-guitar-black--201637
thinking of a cheap p like this or the £60 harley benton to ugrade the electrics and use as a backup.
new basses for cheaper then a 2nd hand squier seem a bit too good to be true.
Behringer Phaser Pedal for sale £10 collected from Downend in Bristol or £13 posted. Bought from this very forum a couple of months ago and selling as ive just bought an ehx small stone as this one goes a bit too trebley and is quite a subtle phase. I think it would work better with a guitar but is a cheap phaser if anyone want to give one a go. Any questions let me know.cheers

In terms of hatred, traditional Irish music, I cannot stand it. I also don`t like what is laughingly called R&B nowadays - R&B is Dr Feelgood!
amen to that
ive tried many basses against my old bb1100s and none have beaten it. stingray came close but that has gone now. it may not be the prettiest but for tone and playability its very hard to beat. oh and if you can find one it should only cost you about £300.

I can tolerate almost anything in the background.
'Turn the radio off' reserved for Cindi Lauper - Girls Just Wanna Have Fun, and the entire collected works of the Lighthouse Family and Snow Patrol.

completly age with the last 2 on there. i have to turn a radio off whenever Wonderwall comes on. i can't understand why oasis are so popular but wonderwall is my pet hate!
can you bypass the effects easily and how easy is it to use the different effects live? i had a b2 for a while and d the sound but found out fiddly to use when gigging. cheers
Behringer bass overdrive pedal. Excellent condition but surplus to requirement. Great value low cost overdrive/distorion pedal. £10 collected from Bristol or possily Bradford on Avon or £15 posted. Also I'm working in Dorking quite a bit at the moment so could meet there or Reading station.
great bass and an absolute bargain. i had one in the same colour but with a 2 band eq that went for more money than this last year. got to be the bargain of the site.
richard just provided the best courier service on basschat.
through random chance he offered to collect a bass from shonks (above) in essex and deliver it to me in Bristol just because hes a nice bloke and happend to be coming this way. so despite never having bought anything id heartily recomend him. deal in confidence and thank you again for bringing the bass.
all the best
steve

is this as separate from http://basschat.co.uk/topic/253741-so-whos-up-for-another-south-west-bash/
yes. It looked like the south west one had gone quiet and the talk of exeter was quite a long way away. now the south west looks to be happening near glasto it would make sense not have them too close together and may attract some of us south.
