1. It feels light to me but fairly inaccurately weighed on the kitchen scales say about 9 1/2 lbs ish. Feels lighter than a normal jazz to me and the neck is very thin at about 38mm at the nut by my measurement.
2. It was on hold for a while but even so I thought this would sell quickly. I can chuck in a marshall mb15 practice amp and a stand and cable for another £40 if anyone wants a beginner package.
3. Thanks
4. Trace Elliot combo which I believe is a late BLX series which came with the gsm7 150 watt head fitted a 1x10 inch speaker and high frequency horn. Very good condition. £90 ono. SOLD Trace Elliot 1153T 1x15 Bass Extention cab again very good condition. 200 watts 8 ohm £100 ono. SOLD Photos at https://www.dropbox.com/sc/mjkgfickf2ridls/AACRnyIvmGUbIbJqno27Jx6Ea Will sell both together for £190 Bought on a whim to try out some Trace gear and while it sounds great anvery loud together, I prefer the sound of my OBT and don't have room to keep it all so this needs a new home. Open to sensible offers. Collection from Bristol or i could deliver locally or postage could be doable but may cost a few quid as it's not light stuff. Happy to answer any questions and you are welcome to try before you buy.
5. Bump. Great xmas present or backup bass. £50 collected or £60 posted. Bargain
6. Anyone?
7. It's got to be Sweet Home Alabama and along with that we've banned Brown Sugar and Can't Get Enough of Your Love as to over played.
8. Sold pending the usual stuff
9. Cheers. I'm tempted to keep it myself but have my eye on some other stuff. £50 does feel cheap but I got it cheap so happy for that to go to a bcer but if you feel inclined a tenner to the forum or the bass relay might be good. Plays nicely sound fine if a little quiet. Really thin neck and its light too. I guess postage would be £15 to 20 Or collection from Bristol.
10. Back for Sale
11. I posted this in general discussion with no response so I thought I'd try here as it seems to be where the pa chat lives. Has any one got any experience of using one of these and if so could they cope cope with vocals for a pub rock band or ate they only suitable for acoustic stuff? Cheers
12. What is wrong with the world when a Stingray only costs £600? Bargain of the year. Shame I'm skint, but have a bump. GLWTS
13. Anyone?
14. As requested I have just done a quick recording of the bass. It's only on my phone but if any one would like it please pm me you email address.
15. No worries.
16. Just lacquer its only cosmetic just wanted to show it to be honest about condition.
17. I dont I'm afraid. Best I could do would be to record some on my phone but it won't be the best quality. It does a really wide range of tones given the jazz set up with active passive switch. It has more bottom End than any other bass I've owned really good dub/reggae tone to and bright modern for slap and the passive sound is nice and mellow. Cheers Steve
18. Bump go on then £160 final drop. Please don't make me put it on fee Bay.
19. Has any one got any experience of using one of these and if so could they cope cope with vocals for a pub rock band or ate they only suitable for acoustic stuff? Cheers
20. Can't believe this hasn't sold looks great value. Are postage or trades an option?
21. Bump to the top. Trades for PA kit or cash only please.
22.
Cheat, like I did. I was born in '57 and have a '57 re-issue.... its the nearest I'll get. Edit - same stable as Shergold but perhaps Hayman and Ned Callan? They pop up occasionally around £500.
It looks like the J&D Jazz is the best option for cheating on a budget! I'm not aware of hayman and ned callan I'll keep my eyes open. Cheers
23. Lots of good suggestions so far. The summary seems to be grabber/ripper, ibanez but rare and difficult to date, shergold lovely but rare. I'm going to keep my eyes on the market place and flea Bay next year and see what comes up. Otherwise it'll be a long list of stuff I've got gas for (T40, guild, stingray, g&l l2000 etc) for too my wife and see what she chooses. I've got a few months to play with bit these suggestions have whet my appitite. Thanks for the help.
