I think you may be right (as always) I can add extra or less distortion/modern sound via the DHA VT1 pedal and Ashdown Retroglide amp (via Barefaced Retro Two10).
As you know ead this is for that passive TKO. I looked at the RFB on Alan's website but it does not look like he has included for the switch on the bass.
Looking at a new short scale ACG with a PB pickup, could anybody tell me the differences in sound between the two magnet types?
If you have a preferences for one or the other I would be glad to hear them.
Thank you SpondonBassed and drTStingray I will carry out a few experiments with the aid of our guitarist. I will just have to take into account any additional distortion from the DHA VT1 valve 'output'.
It was rumoured Toyah and her band used practice in the old theatre in Cannock just before she launched into the charts.
My works colleague has a photograph of himself taken with Toyah when she played the Robin Hood 2 in Bilston a few years ago. He said she was very polite and was happy to talk and mix with the audience.
Do the comments above suggest that if you have an amp with passive and active inputs it does not really matter which one you use? I ask as I have an Ashdown Retroglide with both but run my passive bass through a DHA VT1 Spitfire and use the passive input. I don't get the indicator lamp lighting up as I keep the input level below the required threshold.
Would there be any benefits to using the active input instead?
Unfortunately I do have hearing loss so hence the question.
