Lesson 1 eh? Looks like I missed that one.

After playing bass for 30 years I've recently learned that you can avoid dead 'new' strings by adding a bend to the string just below where you cut it before fitting. Otherwise the string core can slip resulting in a dead sounding new string. The bend prevents this from happening. Unsure how true this but it makes sense and is easy to do. Maybe this was the reason?

Brill - and there's a lot of fun to be had from a pedal board of that magnitude!

That's one well packed board Blablas. The big board must weigh a tonne - do you gig it?

Bergantino vs Barefaced vs Vanderkley - New cab decisions
burno70 replied to Wolverinebass's topic in Amps and Cabs
As an ex-MB cab user I would say you would be happy with any of these cabs, they're all a considerable upgrade. I went for a BF S12T which I've had for about 7 years. It's a great sounding and extremely light cab. But I'd bet either of the other two would be stonkingly good too. -
Yup - top cover that. Voice is perfect too. Thanks for posting.

But they look so badass in black.

Actually, is it just me or has he got a really big face?

Get In! 😂 The jokes not the bass. Though I loved Dave was I was a young metal head so if he's happy then good for him.

That might be the case but Adrian is vastly experienced with basses and he knows a good one when he sees is - and therefore a bad one too. He seems like a nice fella but it sounds like he's trying to pass off shoddy workmanship as the buyers problem. Reading these recent threads has completely put be off saving for a Jazzus. Shame really but it sounds like a real hassle if the bass requires any rectification work.

Yup - holding on for a Jazzus.

Lovely - still gassing for a Mustang, and this looks great with the tort pick guard. One of these days I tell ye.

Sigur Ros () again. Love this album. Don't mean it as a criticism at all but it's great to drift off/sleep too.

Yup, I do both. You can watch whilst running through exercises, bass runs, slap moves, whatever.

I've been using the Behringer P2 for a couple of months and love it. Doesn't pull your pants down like the heavy P1, and as EBS Freak rightly said, the P2 has a built in headphone amp unlike the P1M. Gigged with it a few weeks ago and it works really well. Big thumbs up from me as a noob to IEM. And I can happily use it whilst I save up for a wireless system.

I really like it - but it's Fender so will be overpriced.

I played my mate's newly acquired green Jazzus last night. Seriously, what a bass! So comfy to play, the neck is nice and slim. Never heard of Lace pups before but it produced a lovely warm tone. I need a Jazzus in my life now! Not on the configurator though!

I once bought a PJB Big Head from their - I think it was 175 squid.

Once you have enough material I'd recommend taking at least 10 minutes every day just to read through the sheet music. It's slow going at first but after a few months of consistent reading you'll be reading the notes out just as quickly as words from a book. There's also loads of free phone sight reading apps, some of which you can set to bass cleff only so you can have a quick 'study' wherever you are.
