  1. As nice as Alan Cringean is - I don't think he would go for it somehow.
  2. The Real Thing certainly isn't a glossy production but it still works for me. Still my favorite FNM album.
  3. Man - gassing for another for my home board and these hardly ever come up - but have a bass to save up for. GLWTS
  4. Thanks Itu but Eventide are not cheap, and for what appears to be a dry solder joint in the PSU input area. AJ: yeah, I've used Martin Owen before - he's good. Wasn't sure if he was still in business as it was quite some time ago. I think I'll pass that recommendation onto my buddy. Thanks.
  5. Not sure but if you're stuck you can usually find a European (EU) supplier (cheap postage/quick delivery and no customs charges) via the manufacturers website.
  6. Love Patton - Bungle remain my favorite band of all time. Gould was a huge influence during my formative bass years. I had that Aria for my first bass too!
  7. Anyone? I told my guitarist friend that the good folk of BC would help us out - don't let me down!
  8. I was about to post about said rectum. "Lets play Tool with tools". What a %$^ing muppet. Gets loads of hits though. Also, I don't like his face.
  9. Favorite pedal. Now there's a conversation going around my head trying to justify having two!
  10. Cliff Burton. I had discovered Metallica and was genuinely obsessed with them (as teens do). He was the reason I wanted to play the bass. He'd actually been dead a couple of years but I didn't buy Kerrang and there was no internet so I had no idea he was gone. I was genuinely gutted when I heard. Its strange looking back, I was genuinely affected but didn't even know the guy.
  11. Won't be here long at that price! If I had the reddies I'd pick it up just to see if I'd get on with a fretless. Lovely dog too.
  12. My friends Timefactor is on the fritz. Can anyone recommend a reputable repairer in the Merseyside/Manchester area?
  13. I love these bases and would like to try one out some day - but they're not all that common. How do you find the neck? I read that Sheehan likes thick necks? I like skinny necks which has put me off getting one.
  14. Such a gorgeous bass! You must be well chuffed.
  15. This bass used to be my baby. Jon made it in 2007/8. I still miss it - has brilliant action, is amazing to play and I used to get compliments on my tone quite often when gigging. It's an awesome bass.
  16. I've been using PJB's like yours, Silvia, and really like them for my bass. However they sound a bit crap on my digital piano so I've recently bought a pair of Beyer Dynamics DT770. Well better than the PJB's for music in general, they appear a lot more robust than the rather flimsey-feeling PJB's, and lastly they are just as good with the bass as the PJB's. Allround a much superior headphone in every respect - and only slightly dearer. I got the 80ohm version.
  17. Pure disco bass that. Love it!
  18. I enjoyed that, well explained and a nice choice of riffs. Makes me want one. Thanks for posting.
  19. Man, I love these mustangs with the go faster stripes - they look sick! If they still made them that way I don't think I could resist!
