Hi All,

Up for sale is my 1966 Fender Precision Bass with its OHSC.  100% original apart from a replacement pickup ash-tray cover.

In terrific condition with a few dings, dongs and rear scratches and light buckle wear.  Quite an example - the sunburst is still very vibrant.

Lightweight at 8lb 10oz and plays with a low action all the way up the neck.

Feel free to arrange to play/view with no obligation.

Cheers, Si

Exactly like Larry Graham played at Woodstock with Sly Stone, through an Acoustic (360? or earlier). Pup cover on, bridge cover off. Saw that pic years later and that pic alone made me get my first Precision.(sunburst). Damn they are just SO good.

I  know the bass you mean, but it was David Brown with Santana:

Wow, all these years I was convinced it was Sly's bass - had to go do a quick check, the giveaway is it was rather dark when Sly played. Santana it was - well spotted. I had a pic lying around years later (from Melody Maker I think) and that sunburst P was just the best thing. Funny, never much liked Santana either. Alan Spenner with the Grease Band doing Little Help, on the other hand (another Precision I recall?) - wow.

Sorry thread divergence. Just keeping this 66 P top of list where it belongs ;)

When everybody goes nuts about original celluloid tort, this is why

I bought a Chinese scratchplate for less than a fiver and its the twin of that - and perfect hole for hole fit on my Maya.

I'm not suggesting that beauty is anything other than original!
