  1. I really like it - but it's Fender so will be overpriced.
  2. I played my mate's newly acquired green Jazzus last night. Seriously, what a bass! So comfy to play, the neck is nice and slim. Never heard of Lace pups before but it produced a lovely warm tone. I need a Jazzus in my life now! Not on the configurator though!
  3. I once bought a PJB Big Head from their - I think it was 175 squid.
  4. Once you have enough material I'd recommend taking at least 10 minutes every day just to read through the sheet music. It's slow going at first but after a few months of consistent reading you'll be reading the notes out just as quickly as words from a book. There's also loads of free phone sight reading apps, some of which you can set to bass cleff only so you can have a quick 'study' wherever you are.
  5. Brill skills - and funny too! Love the Metallica studio clip - like their listening to his verson
  6. I've gone for the Mojomojo, lets hope it it works well with my pups 😉
  7. Looking back that could actually be the answer - something cheap but effective for my fun board.
  8. Thanks Cameron but I'm after people's experiences and recommendations.
  9. Rather than start a new dirt thread: I'm after a new drive/distortion pedal for my home board. Has to do hair of dirt but if it can get wilder then great. Preferably below £100 (at least used price), and not a Darkglass B3K as I already have one on my main board and fancy trying a different flavour. I don't really care about form factor. Thanks.
  10. Yup, this is what I do. Pedals come and go but I've had an LS2 for over 10 years. Invaluable.
  11. Very nice indeed. I do love these basses. They play and sound awesome.
  12. Great - now you can sell me your Ibby SR1400!
  13. Surprised you're moving this one on Kev - lovely bass!
  14. I used a 4 and then a V for a few years, tried the bass whammy and sent it back. I'd just gotten so used to the other harmony options. Now use an M13 so I have more scope but you can't go wrong with either whammy really.
  15. Sorry for not editing the post but the amp has gone. Thanks
  16. I use DR Flatwounds and tune to drop C - no issues. Not sure about rounds but I think a thicker gauge at least for the 'E' string should help.
  17. Proper gent Andy! Not many would have taken the hit as you have.
  18. I get like that after rehearsals sometimes too!
  19. Try a precision - thicker neck and you get that thud with the pups which should be great for dub reggae.
  20. No excuses but the kid might have been having an off day. It happens. I had a similar experiences in a music shop in Liverpool. I wanted a bass, tried it, wanted to buy it and the chap just acted like he could not be arsed helping me out with either a box or bag to put it in - replied in mono-syllables and shrugs. Decided to buy the same bass on line. Didn't put me off the shop though as I know they have some good staff in there too. About a year later I wanted to buy an Ibby - turns out the same lad was on duty. This time though it was night and day; he couldn't have been more helpful.
  21. Lovely looking bass. I've been keeping an eye out for one in my local Dawsons but they haven't had one it yet.
  22. From the demo's I've seen youtube it's an amazing sounding bass. Thanks for your thoughts!
