2.
I recently bought the Classic 450 and am considering taking the hit on it and getting this - I would use it all the time!
Unfortunately, you can't. The footswitch can only be used with the RH450 or RH750 which has the footswitch on the back. Classic: Rh450:
3. Ooo good tip! That one should go in the handy hints thread.
4. Did a cab swap with Wayne, he kept me updated when the courier failed to show and sorted everything out. Top chap to deal with. Cheers Wayne!
5.
I had a payout on a damaged EA cab shipped via Interparcel. Stupidly I'd stuck with the base £50 cover which wouldn't go anywhere near getting the custom driver fixed properly. Ended up getting the £50 + original fee back (£58 in total) which went some way towards replacing the driver with a suitable neo one so I didn't end up losing out in the end but the lesson is there - get the appropriate cover or risk being very disappointed.
This is interesting. I use interparcel and always take out enhanced cover when I post anything. However, their list of prohibited items specifically mentions items with magnets or magnetic material in - which would include speakers and pickups I would have thought.
6. If your gear is insured, then check the insurance - most only cover for damage/theft while in a vehicle if the instrument is in a hard case.
7.
I reckon that will be Anthony Jackson still, he stayed on bass duties for a number of years after 'What Cha Gonna Do For Me' the album was recorded. The original bassline on the record is honestly life changing, it literally blew my mind!
Oh yes! Maybe I should have said it was Palladino-esque as I didn't mean I thought it was Pino, just sounded like him, the fills sound like the fast bit at the end of 'Tear Your Playhouse Down'
8.
Great choice, also I'd choose the Massive Attack tune that is my forum name for phattest bass parts of all time. My favourites: For Once In My Life - Stevie Wonder (James Jamerson) Something - The Beatles (Macca) Heed the Warning - Chaka Khan (Anthony Jackson) Good Love Is On the Way (Live) - John Mayer (Pino Palladino) Back In the Day - Erykah Badu (Braylon Lacy) Is It the Way - Jill Scott (Adam Blackstone) Diamonds On the Soles Of Her Shoes (Bakithi Kumalo) All basslines (and bass players) I consider really standout and totally brilliant.
Here's a seriously good live version of that track which sounds a lot like Pino to my ears. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w2-ZvLg93ek
9. Ooof that little bass intro!
10. If the sa450 has rack ears and is 2u then yes it'll fit! It's not a super shallow case though so on the plus side, you have storage room for your cables but you do have to reach in a bit to plug them in. Pm me if you wish to buy - cheers!
11. Another good deal with Greg, good communication and info. Thanks!
12. Listing removed now - what was it?
13. Ooooo all the good stuff is coming up at good prices when I've just spent all my money on ampage! Dammit!
14. It is a bargain and a beautiful bass!
15. Pm'd!
16. I've had this for about 2 weeks but now I've sold the Delta Amp I have no use for it. I bought it off of ebay for £39 and now I'm selling it for a bargain £25 + p&p if you're not local. Excellent condition with only a slight scratch at one end. Will go and take some pics now. Edit: Here's the original listing http://www.ebay.co.u...=1#ht_500wt_951
17.
Thanks, bit too much of a lump for me to cart around, good luck with the sale.
Er yeah - cheers for that! Bump for offers :-)
18. Yes, I understand the transposition theory but I'm sure Mr Wonder can write in any key and transpose it for any instrument he likes.... Eb minor pentatonic is the 5 black keys on a keyboard. I can't think of too many other artists who use this key so much.
19. I thought it was because Eb is an easy key to play in for keyboards.
20.
Well, you do don`t you? If not you must be the only bloody one here! I`ve been finding I actually prefer tuning down to Eflat for a lot of songs, makes life easier in many respects, but you do need two basses.
Any Stevie Wonder song for a start!
21.
I think you could do with a new logo as 'ogilnibo makes no sense to me..
Only people with true metal eyes can read it...
22. I'll PM yer Wayne.
