1. Bump - this is reluctantly still for sale. Price drop to £800 plus shipping
2. That is fantastically helpful - thanks. I was looking to sequence the Minitaur using the Arturia, so: GR-55 into Minitaur into Arturia. I was also hoping that latency issues would be minimal as the tracking of the GR-55 (which I only use with MIDI, not bass/MIDI blend is very, very good). I suppose the proof will be in the pudding. I'm not sure if the GR-55 MIDI out is also a MIDI thru, but a MIDI merge box is an easy fail-safe.
3. Hi All, Looking for some help. I currently have a bass set up with the roland GK3B and GR-55 floor unit. Tracking is great and sounds are cool. So far no problem. However, I am looking to go deeper into synth bass and I have 2 questions: 1) Can I use the MIDI output from the GR-55 to send my MIDI guitar signal into a Moog Minitaur, and then plug the output of this into my amp. 2) If this works, how could I incorporate a sequencer (like the Arturia Beatstep) so that I can sequence/step/arppegiate this sound? Where in the chain of GK3B bass ----> GR-55 ---> Moog Minitaur----> Amp would the Beatstep go? Please note that I am not looking to play Keys - I just want to go further with the bass. Oh thanks
4. Gorgeous! Have a bump, I'd love this.
5. Lovely! Is it fretless? I can't tell from the picture. Good luck with the sale
6. Unfortunately a deal just fell through so this is now available at a lower price of £900. It's a fantastic bass, very hard to come by over here. Only selling to keep the Mrs happy, but will consider part exchanges.
7. Some interesting offers. Would prefer a straight sale, however will happily consider part exchange for delay/reverb pedals or anything a bit exotic.
8. BUMP and EDIT: That link demonstrating all the tonal configurations doesn't appear to be working (thanks Discreet). I am able to video requests if that helps (please not Bohemian Rhapsody).
9. I've just been made aware of this. Check out the link below, surely some bargains to be had?http://www.peacockauction.co.uk/other/musical-instruments-amplifiers-and-speakers/online-timed-auction/2014-11-25
10. Beautiful! Is there a difference between the nut (or first fret) width between the two?
11. Any idea on scale length, string spacing and weight?
12. Have a bump - this is exactly the same as my current rig, except my combo has 2x10s not 1x15. I've gigged with nothing else twice a week for 7 years of aural pleasure
13. Sorry for the late reply - I've been away. The neck pickup is a Lace Sensor Gold. Now that I've checked, the bridge pickup (which I thought was EMG too) is also marked "Lace". For a extremely thorough review of the bass, with sound samples of every available pickup and varitone option, I recommend visiting this page: http://theellingsworths.net/millard/cortobass/
14. Have a bump mate - these are fantastic, and not just because of the low price tag. Great basses
