Selling due to impending car bill. Up for sale is my Vintage (brand name) Fretless - although I bought it from new ~18 years ago, so perhaps it's on its way to being "vintage". It has some genuine thumb wear over the P pickup from years of use. Let me be clear - I love this bass. These punch far above their price point. I've used this for gigs and two albums. I will really miss having it around, and I often grab this instead of my Stingray fretless, which is 10 times more expensive, but not 10 times better. If you're looking to get into fretless playing, then this would be a good bass to consider. Active treble and bass, plus pickup option and master volume. I believe the body is Bubinga. This certainly gives a nice low, rounded thump when you need it. It was mostly used with flatwounds, but I put some VERY old roundwounds on it as an experiment during COVID as I had them lying around and was curious. I liked that sound, so they are still on there. This means that there is a little amount of fretboard wear from the roundwounds, but not much and certainly nothing to worry about. I have tried to picture this as best I can. I've priced this in line with how others have previously, and consider this a bargain. Postage would be about £20. I don't have a hardcase, but can use a gig bag + bubble wrap + decent box.

Due to car bill, I'm putting some gear up for sale. Here's my "Explorer" bass. This was an ebay purchase some time ago, so I don't know anything about the history. However, it's really nicely built - clearly to a high level. The neck is more Precision than Jazz. The controls are Volume, Volume and Tone, which provide a nice range of sounds. I really like the P pickup on this, which was why I bought it (in lieu of an Alembic and I was playing some Who tracks). The break angle for the G string at the headstock (which I was initially worried about) is absolutely fine - tuning is completely stable and the action is great. Currently strung with dead roundwounds, which is my preference. I don't have a case for this. Hardcases for explorers are available, although I haven't checked if this would fit one. I am happy to meet up within 40 miles of Exeter for a bit of petrol money. I can also do everything possible to safely bubble wrap this + package it in a typical cardboard box for a courier - but this would be at your risk.

Mate - that's class! I know I'll open a can of worms asking, but how "Seafoam Green" is this? The pictures make it look a little more Daphne Blue (to me). Do the pictures here reflect the true colour do you think? GLWTS, and have a bump

Cool. Do those necks have ebony fretboards? It's difficult to tell from the pictures if they are ebony or rosewood. Also, can you provide the neck dimensions - such as the width of the nut and 12th fret, and depth of the 1st fret? Thanks!

These things are brilliant for the price. I gigged mine for at least 2 years straight. If you're looking for a cheap bass that doesn't feel cheap, I would recommend. Have a Devonshire bump
