  1. So What - Miles Davis or Anti-Nowhere League, take your pick.
  2. Give peas a chance - Plastic Ono band
  3. Oof! Mighty Mite stuff is great quality. GLWTS, but at this price I don’t imagine you’ll need it.
  4. Not so much a technique tip, but I wasn’t aware of how much string noise I was generating until I started practicing through headphones. No amp-sim, no reverb, just a headphone amp. It highlights technique issues REALLY quickly!!
  5. We’re doing a cross-channel run at the weekend, but unfortunately coming back to Blighty, not the direction that you need.
  6. Mmmmmmm, black and maple
  7. Tinsel Town Rebellion - Zappa
  8. Bonin' in the boneyard - Fishbone
  9. Bought used recently from a fellow BC'er and they're great sounding (and feeling) flats, but I've just got to face the fact that I'm not a 'flats' guy. These are pretty much identical tension to my usual 105 - 45 round wounds so there shouldn't be any need to adjust the truss rod on your bass. One thing to note is that the G string is cut a little shorter than the rest, so you'll probably only get a single wind on the G string tuner - I've had these on for a few weeks now and it hasn't affected the tuning stability in any way on my 34" scale length instrument. Plenty of windings on the other 3 strings though. I don't have the original packaging but these will be well packaged. Price includes postage to mainland UK addresses. ON HOLD
  10. Geddy went with the Maytags in the end - Electrolux and Hotpoint had a lot of reliability issues, then there was a wait for an engineer, then the delay for the right parts etc...
  11. Who are the brain police? - Zappa
  12. I want my earthly remains to be scattered at Disneyland - I don't want to be cremated though...
  13. Je sais que tu sais- iggy pop
  14. Gimme Some Money - Spinal Tap
  15. Definition of 'perfect pitch' - tossing an accordion into a skip without it touching the sides.
  16. Love to Hate you - Erasure
  17. EQ'ing fits can sometimes be a matter of cutting some of the lows (nothing more than 200Hz) will remove some of the 'thump' - you may need to increase the master volume as you've removed a LOT of the energy of your instrument by doing this, it'll give you a little bit more 'poke' though.
  18. Not sure about 'unacknowledged', but two of my favourites, Ler (guitarist of Primus) and Scott Ian (rhythm guitar and aeronautical tomfoolery for Anthrax) are firm favourites of mine.
  19. One tuner, NOPE one drive, - Bluetube Tube Driver 903 one fuzz/distortion, - Coloursound Bass Fuzz clone (with extra mid control) one envelope filter, - Lovetone Meatball one octave, - OC2 (well, single octave clone with a tone control on the octave) one modulation, - EHX Small Clone one preamp (doesn't have to have DI out) NOPE one pedal that does reverb or delay (or both) - EQD Disaster Transport and one wildcard... - Small Stone Phaser That's what I'm running at the moment (with a couple of extras).
  20. oh yes!
  21. He’s got loads of similar ones that he rotates on a strict rota - they’re his Synchronici-tees
  22. 15 Step - Radiohead
  23. The closest emulation I’ve heard was from a Kala bas ukulele.
