  1. Tongue - R.E.M.
  2. They played in Cliff Williams and Geezer Butlers bands respectively 😉
  3. calling @ki0g0n John makes excellent controls for passive basses and is more qualified than most to weigh in here. I'd go with a 500kΩ pot and a 47nf capacitor, but that's just my taste. depends how much of the top end you want to roll off - a smaller value capacitor (e.g.22nf) will allow more top end through when the tone control is at 0%.
  4. Nobody Weird Like Me - RHCP
  5. Real, Real, Real - Jesus Jones
  6. Yup. I'm not playing live anywhere near as much as I used to, so periodically running through setlist for bands I occasionally dep with helps me keep my piggies wriggling and also makes sure that there's less 'cramming' to do when the dep gigs come in.
  7. Eclectic Electric - Primus
  8. that and his enthusiasm for 'better living through chemistry'.
  9. Just do we’re all singing from the same hymn sheet, are we standing up for key changes? 😉
  10. I play sat down almost exclusively now thanks to long covid. Doesn’t affect my ability to play, but I use a fairly short chair due to pedalboard duty.
  11. Yup, @AndyTravis is right - this is pretty much an exact OC-2 in a red box.
  12. Bass (mostly fretless Jazz) - pedalboard - zoom 607 as a headphone amplifier, I’m toying with an EHX headphone amp as they’re battery powered too, and significantly smaller. The 607 is a lot of fun though.
  13. an iPhone on the same wifi network as this will work as a remote control. We have to do this when our remote periodically goes missing - often down the back of a sofa.
  14. Dog Breath Variations - Zappa
  15. Most of the Eagles' output and 'Lily the Pink' by Scaffold.
  16. Let’s be honest, it’s safer than stacking them vertically!
  17. Equine, Women and Song - Whitesnake
  18. Really useful as an envelope filter - it'll do up and down sweeps depending on where you set the start and stop frequencies. Pretty decent octave too.
  19. Dig a pony - the lads
  20. Speaking as an Englishman, I think the attraction with moving ‘North of the wall’ would be that I wouldn’t be living in England anymore.
  21. well, that means we don't need to buy another bass - where's the fun in that?
  22. James Hetfield offering him a million dollars to join Metallica might have something to do with it…
  23. Another vote for Stu Hamm here too. I bought one of his albums on the recommendation of another bass player and was spectacularly underwhelmed. His tone seems to lack any kind of low end too.
