  1. Either way it's still a great sounding preamp.
  2. I'm afraid I'm with Maynard on this - lifting your phone up to film or take pics at a gig means that the people behind you have to either watch through a tiny aperture, or try to look around it. Secondly, the quality of the photo/video isn't going to be worth looking at either - low light, fast shutter speeds etc... Finally bands like Tool spend heavily on their visuals, intermittent flashes and tiny video lights detract from the aesthetic that they're trying to immerse the punter in. and that's without even considering the legality of it.
  3. Zoom ms60b will do everything you’ve listed above and more. Takes up the same space as a boss style enclosure, just in case you need. Flanger/phaser/reverb/eq etc…
  4. This era of Peavey amps are pretty much bombproof!! I remember those little guitar combos fondly.
  5. Drag the waters - Pantera. obviously not fans of his post-Floyd material.
  6. Disco , soul, funk, Motown. Pretty much any track from these genres will give you a great bassline. no point listening to any of the above if you can’t stand listening to them though; that will turn bass playing into a chore.
  7. It's on hiatus at the moment - I bought a replacement battery, but I'm not brave enough to try desoldering the battery socket back onto the logic board, so I'll probably end up sending it away to get fixed. I've had a quote of £60 including registered courier there and back, but haven't done anything about it yet.
  8. Agreed. Every single G&L that's been in my hands has been an incredible instrument in its construction and sound. The same cannot be said for Fender.
  9. yeppers. There's definitely a 'sweet spot' to using the 250.
  10. I've used the Joyo American Sound on both and it's been useful when used as an amp sim too. The DOD 250 is really good on bass provided you don't go too crazy with the drive, as the more dirt you add, the less bass you get. Just get a cheap loop pedal and you can use any guitar pedal*! *as long as it's got a phase reverse feature just to be safe.
  11. Pound for a brown (on the bus) - Zappa
  12. I saw an X-ray of a girl passing gas - Butthole Surfers. Double whammy!
  13. Ah, an intermittent fault. They’re my favourite! ☹️
