Very comfortable for long periods. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Set-of-two-bar-stools-brown-bar-chairs-dining-stool-bar-furniture/222836996091?hash=item33e21eb7fb:g:HcYAAOSwBp9agrXA I have a butt-kicker attached to the footrest and use it during gigs with a mix of my bass and kick drum fed into it.

I've kind of made my mind up on the BF, just waiting for Alex to confirm that it will be OK to run a Two10 @12-ohms and a One10 @ 8-ohms. Theoretically it's a goer but he has promised to check it out and let me know.

If any part of it is Rosewood then isn't CITES now an issue?

Thee Metro has a channel selector switch, A or B. Unless you can find some way of over-riding this and having both channels on at once I would say probably not.

3 x 8-ohm speakers in parallel is 2.67-ohms. What ABY are you planning to use, how and why?
-
Using an 8-ohm cab plus a 4-ohm cab together will take you well below the magic 4-ohm total load. so 2 x 8-ohm cabs is the optimum. Using just a single 8-ohm cab will not make a significant difference compared to a 4-ohm version of the same. All you will notice is that the pointer on the volume control is a few degrees further round.

Just out of interest which bass heads actually incorporate a High Pass Filter. I know that the Mesa D800+ does, so who else?

Chris, the option is 1 x BF Two10 or 2 x SVT-210AV. I currently have been using a pair of One10s and they sound pretty good however because they are so small I need to put the on a stand so I can hear. As a result they lose floor coupling and a lot of welly, hence the thought of going for a 210 cab. It crossed my mind that if I went for switchable Two 10 then I could run it at 4-ohms on its own or at 12-ohms with a One10, which give 4.8-ohms - totally acceptable to the amp. I guess it depends on what the individual impedances of the Two10 drivers are to see how they might balance.

I'm very much liking the Ampeg tone that I'm getting from my recently acquired PF-500 (yes I know about the problems but this one seems fine). Given the option of a pair of Ampeg SVT-210AV cabs or a single BF Two10 for approximately the same money, which would be the better choice?
-
Has anyone tried a 12-ohm Two10 together with an 8-ohm One10? Combined impedance is a satisfactory 4.8-ohms so no problem with an amp but I just wondered what it sounded like in practice.

A clandestine meeting with Simon in an A303 Service Area and the deal was complete. Ampeg rig loaded in my car in the twinkle of an eye. Deal with confidence.

Just a quick update on this. On Wednesday evening, in usual BC fashion, I met up with Stealth of this parish in a service area adjacent to the A303 and took delivery of an Ampeg PF500 and cab. I've just tried the PF500 out with the pair of One10s and my problem seems to have been solved. Loud, deep and punchy so maybe I just don't like the sound of Markbass amps. I shall try this new arrangement at rehearsal on Monday. I found that it all sounded much better with the cabs on top of a plastic bin about 24" off the ground so now I'm off to look for a suitable stand. Any suggestions?

Dave, I decided to try and create a small rig for both rehearsals and gigs as we don't do many a year. I was going to use my existing LMII. I got my first BF One10 back in November and used it at a rehearsal and was very surprised how loud it was. The rest of the band thought it was completely bonkers however having been used to 12-inch speakers I wasn't over enamoured with the tone. Having read comments from other users that two were better than one I decided to get another and I used them both at our next rehearsal last Monday. Certainly more than loud enough but I find the tone is not what I'm looking for. I'm a bit old school really. Maybe I should contact Alex and see if he could do a deal for one of his 12-inch cabs as these are effectively brand new. They just sat indoors in their covers unused from the end of November until last Monday. BTW these were my first experience of BF and I have no quibble about the build quality.

Effectively brand new (used twice at rehearsal) Barefaced One10 and Barefaced cover. Black Metal Grille version. Original shipping box and all paperwork. I have 2 of these for sale. Consider trades involving Bergantino CN112, Vanderkley EXT112, Vanderkley 210MNT, Ampeg PF-112, Barefaced SuperMidget, Barefaced SuperCompact

The two outputs of the amp are simply wired in parallel. Unless you are using bellwire cables it is quite sufficient to use just a single cable between the amp and the cab. Adding a second cable will serve no useful purpose.

Faulty valves for spare parts or repair ?????
obbm replied to obbm's topic in eBay - Weird and Wonderful
As far as I am aware valves can't be fixed except in a very specialised facility. He is basically selling rubbish and some poorr gullible soul will be taken in to the tune of £135. -

I had a look to see if it could be reported but Ebay don't have any reporting categories that cover this. -
Totally bonkers. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2-x-FAULTY-MESA-Amplifier-Tubes-Valve-KT-77-GEC-Audio-Vacuum-Sound-Quality/362213436308?hash=item54559a6b94:g:neQAAOSwdSRZ~3jI

I've had Sadowsky Black Label Flats on my PJ for a couple of years now but took them off last week and put the original set of Blue Label rounds back on. Yesterday they came off again and the flats went back ready for last night's Jam. They sounded great the through the house band's rig, an old Peavey head and a Trace 4x10. They are staying on now, so yes I'm addicted. I also recently fitted a set of Labella 076 1954 Vintage flats to my '73 Precision but not had a chance to try them through a decent rig yet. That pleasure awaits.

What and how many connectors do your cabs have?

Tobie advertised that he wanted an EHX Battalion pedal and as I had one that I wished to move on I contacted him. A few PMs later and money had changed hands and it was on its way to him. Very smooth transaction. Top man.
