  1. This may have been tried before but the two parts of the P pickup make a humbucker. Have you tried rotating one piece through 180 degrees?
  2. As a comparison, my original Sterling SB14 is: Nut 0.84" 1stt Fret 0.83" 12th Fret 0.91" 15th Fret 0.92"
  3. I have an SB14 which has been converted to fretless. It came with and still has the switch
  4. Just measured my 2003 MM Sterling and it's: Nut 0.87" 1st Fret 0.82" 12th Fret 0.92 15th Fret 0.95" Hope this helps
  5. I second this approach. Rack panels are 19-inches wide so the opening width is always 19-inches plus a bit. Coversely the opening height is always multiple units of 1.75-inches and the panels/units should be less a tolerance to allow them to fit. I used to have a data sheet giving the recommended dimensions but I can't seem to find it right now. You should be able to find them through Google.
  6. Perhaps Steve could send it straight to me to save time/postage.
  7. If you get it from Steve and send it to me I could rewire it to parallel. FOC of course.
  8. Sorry for delayed response but away at the moment. Steve is correct. It will make 2 x 8-ohm cabs look like 16-ohms and because it’s a valve head you will get full output into the 16-ohms.
  9. Back in the day I used to make boxes that allowed either series or parallel speakers but with combo Speakon. That Palmer box looks to be just the job.
  10. Signed up here on 16th May 2007 having been on Bassworld since about 2001. Over the years I've bought and sold many basses and amps although now my gigging days are over my activity is much reduced. Over the years I have met many fellow bassists and made many friends.
  11. Hello Bodmin, Mylor Bridge here.
  12. Welcome. Another from Cornwall here. Too old for gigging these days but still have a few basses to keep me amused.
  13. My Activer One10 arrived this week. My rig is almost complete apart from trying different pre-amps. I currently have it running with a Sansamp BDDI mk2 and I am liking the sound with all three cabs. All 3 work together really well. Very growly. A single One10, either the Activier or a passive cab with a gnome, sounds a bit thin but I believe that's due to the hard accoustics of the room. I've used One10s live and they are fine. The new cab however is winding up my OCD as the Activier One10 does not match the two previous cabs. The handle is on the opposite side and the new logo is .... Hmmm.
  14. Yes it is. For more details please PM me.
  15. Tom has just bought the last of my 4-sq.mm. speaker cables that were surplus since I stopped gigging and sold my main rig. Great communication and prompt payment. Thank you Tom.
  16. Sensible offers considered for outright purchase.
  17. Please can we discuss this by PM and not in open forum.
  18. So long ago. It was Move It by Cliff and The Shadows.
