I'd like to add myself to the list but I have no idea how to create the orange name thingys. All I seem to get is plain text. Can anyone help?

Member Bill Fitzmaurice should be able to explain exactly why.

In answer to question 3 the experts always recommend using identical cabinets i.e. get another 2 x 10 not pair your 2 x10 with a 1 x 15.

Recorded 20 years ago. Sadly the energy of the live performance was lost in the final mix. 🥺

Having sold all my Bergantino CN Cabs I am now down to a single rig comprising: 2 x Barefaced One10 and a Genzler Magellan 350. (I'd love to add a 3rd One10) Back-up is a Warwick Gnome. Also lurking in a flightcase is an Ashdown Retroglide 800 which is now surplus to my requirements.

I plan to head up from Falmouth again. This time I'll bring my Fender oldies, a 1971 Jazz and a 1973 Precision along with my workhorse, the Sadowsky PJ, plus the BF One10s and a Genzler Magellan 350 which I acquired earlier this year.

I've had one of these for about 18 years but it's never been used much. The tone stack is a traditional Fender design, the same as many pre-amps/amps. The bass and treble controls are boost only and the mid control is cut only so flat should be min bass and treble and max mid. I modified the voicing of mine by changing the capacitor values to match the Alembic F1X.

Steve bought the last of my Bergantino CN cabinets. Faultless transaction once again and he confirmed that it had arrived safely. Thanks Steve

Davie answered my wanted ad for a Behringer P1. Turns out he had one lurking in a drawer. All agreed very quickly and it arrived in a couple of days. What a star.

Walk on the Wild Side cover - aiming for that bass tone!
obbm replied to PaulKing's topic in EUB and Double Bass
Herbie came to a SE Bash some years ago and confirmed it. He played on it twice and got paid twice. He gave us a rendition of it live with him on DB and with Dave Swift playing Bernie's famous Fender Jazz. -
If you plug a DC cable, the 2.1mm co-axial cable, or even just an unwired plug into the external DC socket it will disconnect the battery.

Post a pic of your Bass god from your teen years

I never saw this line-up but I saw Jet Harris with the Jet Blacks in Slough in 1962 supporting Little Richard and Sam Cooke. -
I have a 100-watt Nobsound, https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/274444339477, which I use to drive an active stool or a platform with drums. I think the Eich could be an uprated version of this although the price hike is a bit alarming. The 19-volt power supply is 60% the size of the amp so it's all a bit messy. I've modified mine so the speaker outlet is now a jack rather than terminal posts however the input is still a phono. I have yet to try it with a bass through a decent speaker.

I seem to remember that it was certainly less than £100. Maybe someone with a better memory can correct me.

I can remember that when I wanted to buy a proper bass in 1964 a Fender Precision was about £85. In the end I had to opt for a Framus Star Bass at £40. At that time average earnings was about £10 a week.

Had a UL310 and used it for 80 odd gigs when I was playing a lot but then sold it in favour of 2 x UL112. Eventually picked up 2 more UL310s and a UL902 but sadly never got use use them in anger as the band folded. Like so much gear they got moved on and so I never got to hear what this rig actually sounded like apart from in my garage. Great kit.

Errr is this possible? Switch to headphones on a pedal
obbm replied to Minininjarob's topic in General Discussion
An A/B switch at the end of your effects chain. A goes to the amp. B goes to a headphone amp.
