If you get it from Steve and send it to me I could rewire it to parallel. FOC of course. -

Sorry for delayed response but away at the moment. Steve is correct. It will make 2 x 8-ohm cabs look like 16-ohms and because it’s a valve head you will get full output into the 16-ohms. -

Back in the day I used to make boxes that allowed either series or parallel speakers but with combo Speakon. That Palmer box looks to be just the job. -
Signed up here on 16th May 2007 having been on Bassworld since about 2001. Over the years I've bought and sold many basses and amps although now my gigging days are over my activity is much reduced. Over the years I have met many fellow bassists and made many friends.

Hello Bodmin, Mylor Bridge here.

Welcome. Another from Cornwall here. Too old for gigging these days but still have a few basses to keep me amused.

My Activer One10 arrived this week. My rig is almost complete apart from trying different pre-amps. I currently have it running with a Sansamp BDDI mk2 and I am liking the sound with all three cabs. All 3 work together really well. Very growly. A single One10, either the Activier or a passive cab with a gnome, sounds a bit thin but I believe that's due to the hard accoustics of the room. I've used One10s live and they are fine. The new cab however is winding up my OCD as the Activier One10 does not match the two previous cabs. The handle is on the opposite side and the new logo is .... Hmmm.

Tom has just bought the last of my 4-sq.mm. speaker cables that were surplus since I stopped gigging and sold my main rig. Great communication and prompt payment. Thank you Tom.

My gigging days are over so my Genzler Magellan 350 Amplifier is now surplus to requirements. In excellent condition and complete with carry bag and mains lead. Specification: The MG-350 represents the pinnacle in the next generation in compact, lightweight, high-output, versatile, bass amplification. The MAGELLAN® 350 is the little brother of the larger MAGELLAN® 800 but only in relation to its smaller compact size. The feature set and 350 watt output power level of this tiny amplifier make it a “big boy” in its amplifier class. As well, the MG-350 delivers exactly what players have come to expect from the GENZLER® design team -- performance, versatility and reliability. From natural, pristine, transparent reproduction of the bass instrument to classic, vintage harmonic textures, the MG-350 provides the tonal pallet needed to cover all of the bassist’s amplifier requirements and is ideal for electric or upright bassists. Design features Include: •Clean Channel – ◦Pristine and Articulate •Dual-Curve Variable Contour Circuitry ◦Curve A -- Classic to Modern -- Mid Scoop Curve ◦Curve B -- Thicker to Vintage -- Low-Mid Bump w/Tapered Top End •Active 3 Band EQ w/Parametric Mid Control •Signal Mute Switch •Thermal Sensing Variable Speed Fan Cooling •Full Featured XLR Direct Output Interface •2.67 Ohm Min. This one. My workhorse for about 10 years and I miss it. Where are you now? Please come home. .

Phase 1 completed - Sansamp BDDI replaced with Bassrig 64 - I do like that Bassrig. Next Phase will be to: 1. remove the Sweeper and Sub Up and fit an HX Stomp 2. change the Yler battery for a Harley Benton Powerplant with has enough oomph to drive the Stomp.

Some years ago I made a similar cable, which I still have, to run a pair of Schroeder 1212L in series. Wicked. If you wire all the links, 1- to 1+, you achieve the same result and don't need to differentiate between which connector goes to the amp and the cabs.

Ah yes, that was made for me in 2010. Subsequently sold in 2016 as it didn't quite fit in an Elvis tribute band. 😀 Sold on again in 2020. I wonder where it is now?

Just been mulling over this problem and it would be simple to use an in-line 15dB XLR attenuator to achieve the same.

Si, this is probably a dumb question but why don't you take your D.I. straight out of the Stomp?
