  1. Answering your question directly, I'd get 2 or 3 basses. This way if you're ever stuck for cash you can sell 1 or 2 and still have a decent bass to keep. Personally, I'd buy studio time for the band and get a great product out there. Maybe some merchandise too! I'm assuming you already have a bass or two and a rig? Why buy more?! Truckstop
  2. How the he'll did you manage to get permission to build a fake Sue Ryder P body? Truckstop
  3. Such a sweet cab. Had a little play through it when I sold Jim my Peavey Firebass 700 to him and it just sounded so warm, but retained plenty of sparkle. It looks the nuts, sounds the nuts and has castors! Jim's a lovely guy aswell, trade with confidence! Truckstop
  4. I really enjoyed that, good work! Truckstop
  5. I spread my love between Blazers and Roadstars equally! I'm still hurting over missing out on Psycoandy's lovely white PJ Roadstar; everytime I think of it I get a lump in my throat Anyway, bump for this! Truckstop
  6. Very cool! Lots of Ibanez tubescreamer love from those guys. Truckstop
  7. How much would you be after for the 1x15? Cheers Alex
  8. Just be very careful and sand the black layer off! Once you've done that, just finish the green coat with t-cut and polish. You won't be able to take the black coat off with anything less than 300 grit I think, otherwise you'll never get the scratches out of the green finish. I would normally say nitromors, but that might just destroy both coats! Truckstop
  9. Well, as always, I'm strapped at the moment. There's always other stuff that needs paying for! These basses really are great quality for the money. Plenty of thump, with a lovely refined 'zing' to them. Made of proper wood with good quality components; anyone that buys this is in for a right treat! I'll admit, I prefer the looks of the '83-onwards models, but great basses nonetheless and an interesting take on the Precision style. Have an envious bump off of me! Truckstop
  10. King for a Day - Jamiroquai Truckstop
  11. Bought his Boss VE-20 off of him for a very good price (cheers!). Excellent communiques, well organised and all round good guy. I look forward to many hours fun with it and hopefully I'll get to trade with Brian again sometime Cheers Alex
  12. Speaking of headphones, anyone know if it's ok to run an amp without connecting it to a cab? I like using my headphones, but it doesn't mute the speaker output so noise comes out of the cab too! Very annoying. I've been too scared to run the amp without a cab; is that silly? Cheers Truckstop
  13. As far as I'm aware, he had/has some personal issues and he was working his way through his backlog before calling it a day. If you to the build diaries area, there's a thread on celinder. Take a look, most interesting! Truckstop
  14. I'd ask for £200 or so. My pub has a couple of duos on the roster and that's the rate they ask for. Hope that helps? Truckstop
  15. Hello, While your items can be sold here, forum rules state that you need to advertise a price for each one I'm afraid. Would be interested in seeing some pictures of the pedal steel and the lap steel too! Cheers Alex
  16. And more helpfully, the GK gets a vote from me. I used a GK 400RB for 5 years in death metal bands and it really stood up to measure. You can dial in plenty of grit and it just works with the rest of the EQ to make sure you don't lose any of that beef you no doubt want from your tone. Ultra reliable, FX loop, DI out and rackmountable. Looks devil too! And cheap!!! Even in a metal band I never thought it worth getting a fuzz/distortion outboard because the amp sounded so aggressive on it's own. And another I really like about GK amps, is that the knobs are quite stiff and ultra precise. They don't feel loose or cheap like other amps knobs. Quite Alternatively, try a behringer bdi21. Everyone raves about them and so do I! The drive knob will be your friend. It's only £30+ so if you don't like it you can sell it on and only lose a Tenner. Or keep it for future studio use! Truckstop
  17. I love my Blazer because it's everything I look for in a bass. Great sound, great looks, well-loved and cheap! Truckstop
  18. Why spend £350 on a new bass when you could spend £350 on a second hand one that cost twice that much new? With £350 you could look at Yamaha TRB's, G&L Tributes or even a proper german Warwick if you're lucky! These are all 'worth' £600+ new. Truckstop
  19. I've played this lovely example of a precision and it really is a good one. I couldn't see any of the usual examples of tardy QC and anyone that gets this will be doing themselves a huge favour. I think this is as close as anyone will get to a real '57 without breaking the bank. Looks stunning in the flesh too, I fell in love with it straight away! What's more, he's a lovely guy and he is a recommended trader! Bump Alex
  20. I'm not too fussed about pictures if it's an amp or a pedal or something. What I do want to know however is why they want rid of it, what they think of the product, hownit came into their possession and why I should buy it. I hate it when people go: "for sale 1 fender p bass.6months old. £1million ono" Why not flesh out the ad? I wouldn't want to buy anything off this guy! Truckstop
  21. Axesrus make decent kit. Ive bought a couple of their jazz wiring kits (passive and active versions) and they are well made and are great value for money. Quick dispatch and excellent communicators too! Truckstop
  22. These are wicked little bits of kit. Ultra useful for live, studio and home rehearsal and all for the same price of a good lead or a set of strings! Truckstop
  23. I'm waiting for the Ibanez Blazer RI! Truckstop
