1. Elbows cover of U2's 'Running To Stand Still'. Probably my favourite cover of all time. In fact, when I listen to it, it doesn't feel like a cover. It feels like a song that Elbow wrote themselves and they really have made it all their own here. Lovely bass riff at the end too. 2. Nice one. Bassists that can't mute properly piss me off. Truckstop
3. Ray LaMontagne was lovely! Reminded me somewhat of Fleetwood Mac 'Never Going Back Again'. Modernised 'Deeper Underground' was pretty cool, but yeah, more distortion and other effects!! Truckstop
4. I know they sound incredible, but I also find them very ugly indeed. But I can overlook that based on the sound. If, however, they're uncomfortable and unwieldy, then I'll just save for something else because I don't want a bass that's ugly and uncomfortable. Truckstop
5. They look heavier than the sun! Truckstop
6. On that video, it looks quite uncomfortable to play sitting down. Is that right? The balance looks really odd. Any thoughts, Munk? Truckstop
7. I left it on a train once. I felt sick when I heard the doors 'shush' behind me. I really did feel so upset, horrified and numb. So bizarre! I got it back though, it was easy enough. Truckstop
8. Hello all, Loving the look of the Bongo 6. Just wondering if anyone has had any experiences with them or if anyone knows where I could go and try one out? Any information at all (except the price tag) would be gratefully received! Truckstop
9. Yeah it is weird. Most of the cover bands around here play lots of Bowie, George Michael, Elton, MJ etc. Quite electic i guess, but no-one seems to play 'guitar legend' music. Which is a shame. Truckstop
10. Well, to be fair to Burton, I guess he was pushing the boundaries of rock/metal bass playing and had a very individual and recognisable 'sound' too. I think also his image did a lot for bassists in the way that suddenly bassists could take more of a lead role in metal. In a musical way and also in a performing way too. Having said that though, I do think he was too high on the list. Truckstop
11. Yeah totally. John Myung is probably the only bass 'virtuoso' non-bassists know. That guys Bongo is insane and I want one. Now. Truckstop
12. I've never heard a cover band do 'Layla', 'Badge' or 'Cocaine'. Actually a lot of JJ Cale might be well received. Fleetwood Mac - 'Go Your Own Way' No-one ever seems to try Dire Straits either. Or Cannibal Corpse. Truckstop

14. In most cases, it really is the best option. Don't like your girlfriend anymore? Fake your death. Don't want to buy your relatives xmas presents? Fake your death. Avoiding a phonecall from Chris Tarrant when your mate goes on Who Wants To Be A Millionaire? You got it in one! Fake your own death! Simples. Truckstop
15. I would gladly be given the chance to play bass for a tribute act and get paid some cash every week for a few years. I just love playing in front of people. Truckstop

17. Option D: Fake your own death. Sometimes it's the only way out. Truckstop
18. I'm almost annoyed I forked out £200 for my EBS last week now! I could've done with one of those cabs. Ah well. Truckstop
19. Can you get 6-string Fenders/Squiers? Truckstop
20. I had the exact same one when I first started playing bass! I still got mine too. I'm hoping one day it'll be a collectors item... Truckstop
