1. We've all got our opinions of course but I think these are amazing. If you want pure clean bass and plenty of headroom it's a fantastic amp. The twin channels really give some great options too - stereo, monitor, subs etc etc. It runs great into 4 or 8 loads in my experience and like Oldman I've never had the output above 12. Light as a feather too. I've found mine to be excellent with double bass as well. The taste control really helps tame some of the low wool that you can get on amped DB gigs. All in all an epic amp. I think I've had mine two or three years now and have been gas free in that time! Does effects great as well so if you want grit or drive you just need pedals of your chosen flavour. Gltws matey
2. Sibob are you sure? It's only my opinion but this is sort of the only bass you need, a bit like bass utopia. Fatherhood is truly great but you might still need this bass in your life? Anyway if you don't someone will end up with an epic bass, it really does do it all. Glwts and glwtb (baby) 😊
3. Used to have this very same model and colour. Excellent, excellent bass and amazing value for money. I only sold mine as I wanted something with single coils. Glwts
4. Sheer genius. Or possibly hospital-stay mental.
5. That couch has sees some serious bass action! This looks amazing and rainer is a great guy to do business with ☺
6. Many thanks - I agree with all of that! The GK3B alone is about £100 new now so with all the other bits it's hopefully a fair price. If you want it shipped you'll have to cover that depending on what kind of service you want. Mindful that my post is a little brief. For those of you who don't know this is in essence a dual-synth unit although it also contains some bass and amp models plus effects that you can use on these models (but NOT your clean bass signal incidentaly!!!). Tracking is excellent however I do find it starts to struggle a little on the lower strings. I think this is a typical bass point - the movement of the string in that position is such that even with the best software and hardware tracking will be difficult I'm guessing. Above 5th fret everything is great and the tracking in the upper registers is superb. A really important point for me was the ability to blend clean and effected signal. The unit has two outputs - one for synth and one for clean (although you can configure differently). This works easy if you have two amps or two inputs (I use the tecamp bonafide so great for this) however you can just as easily use a 2 into 1 adapter into your amp. GK3B pickup then allows mix of signal or you can control the synth volume using the expression pedal as a type of mix - very intuitive and effective. There are simply hundreds of sounds - nearly 1000 in fact which you can take and tailor to suit. The synth palate in particular is excellent however there are some great string patches and plenty of effects too. Expression pedal can be assigned as can other controllers so you have a really powerful creative platform here. I've added another demo here, this time from Gary Willis (who also has some patches available to load onto the GR55): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CHxSDP4EYy0 Unsurprisingly Gary is better at the GR55 than me, also better at bass than me. Although I do have a pretty mean collection of bassball caps to rival his. The unit is in excellent condition. Only reason that I'm selling is I really can't get on with multi-fx or units like this. I love the sounds but much prefer knobs and a typical pedal interface, just works better for me. I should know better and stop buying this stuff. I'm in Norwich and you are welcome to stop by and try it out however I have removed the GK3B from my bass so you'll need to allow some time to set the whole thing up. Abd
7. Amazing bit of kit but it's too complicated on top of my pedals. And I prefer my pedals. Comes with the GK3b fitting parts, gator softcase, PSU and a two 15 pin cables. http://www.roland.co...products/gr-55/ https://www.youtube....h?v=zbubsi8eK24 It is for sale but would be very interested in trades. Xenograph/modfactor/synth/filter stuff topping the list at the mo but hit me up. Thanks, Abd
8. The best gig bag. Tough and indestructible, very well padded inside. Decent sized pockets for small amp, pad, kit etc. Very comfy and durable handle. GLWTS
9. I've got one of these virtually identical but for the pickups. Excellent excellent excellent modern jazz bass. Glwts harry, whoever buys this will not be disappointed.
10. Bumping - need this gone folks. Both funds and pedal board real estate required. Make me an offer, the worst I can say is no. Actually, I could say worse than that, especially after too many glasses of naughty water. It has been known. Don't let this put you off though. Thanks!!
11.
That picture is so much cooler than an iPad Si
+1 442 is epic. I had no idea there was a 443. This is also +1. Great stuff here, glwts matey
12. Ok so Ring Mod sold pending the usual The EHX expression pedal - yes, sorry you do need a cable to connect to the pedal you are controlling of course, normal stereo jack thingy, what I mean is no internal cable or wire to work the pedal mechanism. Apparantly it's some kind of accelerometer like they use in mobile phones and the like. What will the little devils think of next (burns voice). Mace - sweeper is still here if you are up for some sweeping
13. Now sold - thanks for your interest all and sorry to those who missed out
14. Few more clear outs: EHX Next Step expression pedal - this is the one with no cable, uses some kind of electric magic: https://www.youtube....h?v=9XCirHTC3fI £25 EHX Ring Thing ring mod - amazing pedal, can do really nice pitch bends with an expression pedal added. Lot's of dirty ring mod noise £60 Mooer bass sweeper - bought on a whim, pretty good but just not using it so much £20 Update 11/09/15 - sweeper and ring mod now sold, just Next Step left Any questions just let me know! Fanx Abd
15. So, mods might need to help me with this, read on..... Doing some clearing up and found this EA iAmp micro 300 dating back to 2007. It is in mint condition having only been removed from it's box once or twice. These days micro lightweight amps are pretty common but this was a kind of forerunner I suppose, weighing around 2lbs and being the size or a car radio. I imported it when they launched and I believe I may have been one of the first few people to see one in the UK. Problem is there was/is an issue with the power transformer. It hums a bit and get's warm. I immediately contacted EA in the US when I received it and unfortunately they were unable to help (the internal transformer should be universal voltage) the issue apparently being some complicated early snagging. In the end they sent me a new iAmp 500 as a replacement. So bottom line I'm selling this as parts or for someone who can attend to the power supply issue. Happy to receive offers on this basis but I figured the main amp itself being in mint condition it must be worth something...? Appreciate this is a little unconventional so please do get in touch if you have any questions. Btw proceeds of this will be donated to BC! 16. Hello all, Zoom B3 for sale, as new condition having been sat on my pedal board and not much place anywhere else. Very happy to supply some actual pics but it is a completely vanilla stock B3. Details can be found here: http://ns1.zoom.co.jp/products/b3 Here is a stock pic just in case confirmation is needed: I went through a phase of using these extensively, so much so I had a second for smaller gigs, excellent sounds but somehow I just find myself going to other things now. There is always something else on the horizon hence selling to fund new stuff. I think I may have the box too but if not it will be securely packed. PSU is included as is regular postage, your cost if you want fancy courier stuff. Any questions please just ask!
17. Great pedal, really useful, especially for those dominant pedals on jazz gigs!
18.
up for the best seller on there
+1, I bought a bass from rainer earlier this year. Significant decision for me but I've been very, very pleased. I wonder how many thoroughbreds have posed on that sofa!
