Been using the bonafide for a few years now. Light, flexible and always sounds good. Bass guitar and double bass. Plenty of power where needed. Nothing not to like really...

Going back to the question of just picking one it would be the subterranea for me. I agree 100% though (and I checked, that's all of the agreement) that it really depends on the application. Best to buy lots of different ones.

Post your pedal board - Basschat style!!

Well that - is a very good question. I guess like all this stuff it's horses for roundabouts. I've had two filters for a while now for this reason, one for sweeps and one for lead/lines. Mainly because I've always found myself hunting for the sweet spot on the sweeps if I try and use the same filter for both. At the moment I'm favouring the Xero for the sweeps and the Moog for lines but I have had it the other way around. The Moog without a doubt is phat and warm and sounds great with the right kind of signal driving it. The Xero is a lot 'wetter' to my ears and has a bit more of a synthy edge to it. I've also found the Xero a bit OTT on 4 pole which is where I prefer my line sounds. -

Here's my latest iteration. Be really interested in any feedback folks. Signal chain is: Ls2 Oc2 Subterranea Fimpact Syb5 Pitchfork Beef bag (meatbox) Freq box Orbit gated fuzz Frantabit Lpf Mf trem Xerograph Volume pedal Then back to the ls2 Finally nova repeater which lives off the board The reflex controls the pitchfork, syb5, freq box, mf trem and Xerograph (via the broadcast) [attachment=244303:20170429_141926.jpg] Very interested on thoughts re the chain.. -
Refining the menagerie of pedals. I've enjoyed these three but for various reasons I'm not using them and I doubt that will change. First up Line 6 tap tremolo. My first foray into trems. I've been really impressed with how this sounds but also how much you can do with a trem - really underrated. Selling this one as I want something where I can control the speed with an exp rather than the tap (which is ok but just not my bag). £55 NOPE - NOW £40 TOTAL MEGANUTS BARG [attachment=243335:20170418_134712.jpg] Zoom MS60B SOLD. Great multi effect pedal - great because most of the sounds are decent and usable on a gig plus you can tweak key settings on the fly with the control knobs. This is always good. Too complex for me though - I thought I would use this as an easy setup for jams or whatever. Turns out I was mistaken. Again. £50 [attachment=243337:20170418_134755.jpg] FX72 flange machine SOLD. Nice flange but something I've never been able to integrate into my sounds/headspace. Comes with a power adapter so you can use with a standard 9v psu. £50 [attachment=243336:20170418_134730.jpg] Prices include postage (the line 6 is a little heavier hence the extra). Trem and FX72 come in the original box, not so the MS60B. Cash is king as always however if you have some random musical artefact that you want to trade for one or all of these you could do worse than hit me up. History suggests I will probably trade for anything with a few lights and knobs on it. x

Vgc example, all perfect working order inc the uv. Very very loud indeed and complete with cover. Happy to trade as well as sell. Lovely amp but too large for what I need now. [attachment=239450:20170302_121502.jpg] [attachment=239452:20170302_121521.jpg] [attachment=239451:20170302_121452.jpg] Amp is in Norwich. I can post but at your cost...

I'd recommend this, did it a few years ago with an Aguilar obp3. You can very cheaply buy an enclosure to attach the pots and sockets. Very little soldering required and you then have a pre which you can use with any bass. To be far my version is not a 'pedal' in the sense there is no on/off switch, it's always on, but still....

Picked this up recently and whilst it's a great pedal it's just not for me. In the words of Obie-Bass-Kenobie "this is not the dirt you're looking for", "you can go about you're business". "Move along". Etc, etc Asking a little less in order to move it quickly. There is more dirt out there which I'm keen to try... [attachment=238404:post-12205-0-95775700-1483985128.jpeg]
