Took a little trip to the seaside this weekend, down to Dorset. I was walking along the beach when I saw a bloke and a woman shouting, and then they started fighting. It got so bad that the police turned up, but instead of calming things down the copper started hitting the guy with his baton. Then the bloke got hold of the baton and started hitting his wife AND the copper. Then just when I couldn’t imagine things getting any worse, a crocodile turned up and stole all the sausages.

Had one of those "Dad this is my new number" scam texts this morning. Rather than immediately delete it, I'm going to see how long I can keep them going. I asked "is that you Felicity?" and they said yes. Obvs I do not have a daughter named Felicity So now I've invented Felicity's no-good bum of a husband Hugo, who keeps selling her iPhones to fund his gambling habit. Let's see if they take that bait too.

My dad just called to ask what gauge strings I put on his EB3 last time I restrung it. Apparently they're starting to sound a bit dead, which is hardly surprising given that I last played that bass in 2003.

Hello, it's taken me way too long to get round to joining BassChat. But now I have, I have some nice basses to sell 😊 - serendipity.

Finished building myself a new guitar! I think I'm going to set my luthier's tools aside for a few years now though, and try doing something else.

I think I've reached that, "I've got all this stuff that isn't gonna ever get used" state. Projects that will never see the light of day. Some of it is worth selling, some may as well see the bin. I think I could do with a cathartic gear purge to clear the decks both physically and psychologically.

Popped over to Cumbernauld Thursday night to catch @JohnFitzgerald play with Cateran and hear the debut of his Wal-esque build from last year. Top notch band, brilliant venue and his bass sounded amazing. Was also impressed by his Fame Baphomet, surprised we don't hear more about those.
