  1. Past hour
  2. Price includes uk mainland postage. Working perfectly and comes with manual and tatty box.
  3. It should tell you what ia what on the back of the amp.
  4. If the above offer doesn't pan out, go to your local bicycle shop and ask for a bike box. They'll most likely be more than happy to give one away as it saves them having to get rid of it themselves. You will need to cut it down to fit the bass, but that's easy and the waste cardboard can be used as additional strengthening. IME bike boxes are far sturdier than guitar shipping boxes which only really work if the item is double boxed and the instrument can be replaced by the manufacturer or retailer should something happen to it in transit.
  5. I bought one shortly after I started playing again. Set neck model. I could find two tones I liked - everything else was mush to my ears. Sold it on the Warwick forum to a fella in Oz who was happy to pay the courier.
  6. One plays jazz sax and is quite good, the other plays flute and no matter how much Jethro Tull I play, she refuses to bite...
  7. I had the 5 string version of this model about 15 years ago, bought direct from Bernie Goodfellow.. I can still remember him fitting the Aguilar pre in it and setting it up for me. It had a great sound - very Marcus Miller in some respects, but it was good for lots of different styles of music. IIRC, I only sold it to upgrade to a Fender Roscoe Beck V. This looks like an absolute bargain to me btw, and Jay's a great person to deal with! GLWTS 👍😊
  8. Just got this and had a blast through headphones for 10 minutes. First thoughts are built like a tank and it sounds great, very warm but I had turn the volume down on my stingray to get a clean tone, so will need to spend a bit of time sussing it out. Hopefully get a chance to try it through speakers tonight. But quite excited by it!
  9. After seeing yours I was kinda tempted myself, but I’ve got way too many basses at the moment, you know how it goes 😁
  10. Has anyone come up with a solution to the lack of bank switching in memory mode?
  11. If they’re feral now they’ll probably turn into guitarists - don’t let them get wet, and don’t feed them after midnight
  12. Yeah I saw that. Although with four of them now I’m struggling to justify another one just yet. Although, (off) white with a tort guard might look nice 🤔. Depends on how I feel at the end of the auction.
  13. Yep, lots of presets on this and good amount of knobs and switches.
  14. Thanks! I think there are wiring directions on the back of the amp…will check tomorrow
  15. Sounds great! Guessing being digital it will come with the ability to store several presets, which would be ideal when playing with different basses and swapping between up and downsweep?
  16. Thanks very much, if nothing closer is available I'll PM you later.
  17. Up for grabs is a (mini) Crybaby Bass Wah CBM105Q. Great sounding wah, but I prefer the full size one. Be warned, the spring on this one is a bit squeaky (a common complaint with sprung wahs). Its a bit annoying but doesn't affect operation in the slightest. £65 posted in the UK please photos here: https://imgur.com/a/2gB5sZ7
  18. I’m pretty sure this one will sell itself. I can’t give any hints as to the company. What I can say is that even though I was involved in the very early development discussions for this pedal and a couple of my ideas were included, I didn’t really think this pedal was going to be my thing at all. I was very wrong! It’s lots of fun. I’ve always thought that digital filters can get close to analogue but never quite convinced me enough to replace them. This has changed my mind. Took me a bit of work to dial this sound exactly but was worth the effort.
  19. I am right handed, though more ambidextrous than most, which foot I use to control/turn on/off my pedals depends, but mostly my right foot, so that is what I voted.
  20. Along with beta testing and general product development, I think company’s also need to offer you remuneration for your helping with their marketing strategy! Haha! Whatever it is, it sounds identical to the Microtron….and I want one! Any hints as the company…..can’t be Source Audio surely. Does it rhyme with bleris? 😉
  21. Does anyone, since the invention of the excellent Speakon, still make amplifiers with xlr speaker outputs? Seems a bit risky, a connector offering big volts and amps on a connector most commonly seen on microphones.
  22. Quick update. Played the GK today for an hour. No issues. Recorded two quick samples with the contour button engaged and disengaged. I also attach the EQ settings. Still keep the low price as I cannot promise that the problems I had during the heatwave may not come back (during the next heatwave, for example). So, maybe only play it on cold days to be on the safe side? 😉 V_20240427_153859_ES3.mp4 V_20240427_153756_ES3.mp4
