    Just thinking (warning to self - stop, it leads to problems), how well would this work as a small venue pa cab (or a 2x8 version?). Following the early days of this thread I fitted one into a Laney bass combo and re-ported it. Very good imo.

    After years of Tuesday rehearsals from 6pm - 9pm we changed our time to 11am - 2pm starting today. It was quite good but we did feel hungry and, as there are no windows, one of us felt it was about 8pm. I enjoyed it and we'll see how it goes next week. Also... it's £10 cheaper.

    Cheers! So far, so good. Yesterday was just the core band. Today we were joined by our BV ladies, and tomorrow the brass lads will be joining us. We're having to do all the rehearsals without lead vox as out guests won't be arriving until later in the week so there's always that worry that we'll need to change keys. Hopefully not... Bass-wise, I'm sticking to the two J's. They're doing everything I need. As for guests -as ever, it's top secret but I can say that Matty Healy from The 1975 will be making an appearance...

    Valeton Dapper Bass all in one gig fly rig. Switchable Compressor, auto wah, preamp, octave and chorus with onboard tuner, FX loop, DI. metal case. Some very small marks from live use but well looked after. Should still have the box for it kicking around. £50

    I think I had the first buckeye, 5-string, 26 fret Sei singlecut, and I think I've inspired a few purchases over the years, including from other makers like Shuker. It's nearly 23 years old at this point, and still a stunner!

    +1 for this. When I had to learn it I got the gist of it and then used various bits and bobs from some of the live renditions and isolated bass tracks on youtube to fill it out and keep it bubbling along. You can really go to town with it!
