  1. Past hour
  2. The red Mustang... 🔥🔥🔥 What pups have you got there? Looks like a Thunderbird-style and a really beefy single coil, has a Burns vibe to it that fits so well!
  3. I contacted Hipshot re this and they advised to use aluminium HVAC tape, easy enough to do and works well.
  4. Probably just a personal feeling that could be zeitgeist - been through a few boutique basses but still go back to trusty old squier jazz bass. Seems to be the winner. That said, I did own an 80’s Smith 6 string that sounded incredible, but couldn’t ever get used to the 6 strings.
  5. i don't get many complaints, its fairly big, its like a can of vim with a bramley apple on top hope it can sort that out. al give it a try, cheers
  6. Bought in the hope i could get away with 30 all valve watts but unfortunately not. Brand new JJ EL84’s fitted and comes with a spare set of EH valves. Really nice amp and tone to die for - if i could have this tone with more power id be in heaven! Collection from Bolton or could do a meet up. Could cut a deal if you want the ABM 4x10 ive also advertised on here. Would consider part ex for a Cali 76 Bass compact

  7. That may be the thing. I thought it was a tilt adjust but there is no screw coming out of the bottom so it isn't that. I can't find a key to fit those screw holes at the moment, but when I can dig out the whole set I have I will give it a go.
  8. Bump for a couple of great cabs, happy to separate or do a little deal for both… jonny
  9. Swede, pepper & butter* go very well together. *Other spreads are available but they're never quite as good.
  10. Sunday and Tuesday rehearsals this week with each of my bands. Suffering from severe lurgy so both were sit down affairs with absolutely no singing. Made them fun by enjoying a session man approach to the bass parts.
  11. I’ve never had it, but with some sauce and some pepper it sounds ok? It’s not that far off bubble and squeak
  12. Today
  13. And streets don’t need nourishment, so feeding them is pointless. However, I have seen some awful things growing on some streets, definitely a culture of some description 🤢 .
  14. For me its, Fretless Fender 62 Jazz with Ebony board, Bartolini pickups and light gauge Rotosound Swing 66 Nickel rounds (The nickel feature and light gauge is the important part) Ampeg Opto Compressor Mooer A7 Ambient Reverb Harley Benton Custom Chorus (No longer available but the best chorus I have ever used) Optional - Boss OC5 Octaver
  15. I'm working my way through the Joe Gibbs 'African Dub' albums today. Chapters 1 & 3 are probably my favourite:
  16. For sale is the Microtubes B7K Ultra V2 which has the AUX input as well. Great sounding pedal with amazing ability to sculp both the tone on the preamp side and the distortion on the drive side of the pedal. There is some very impressive sounds that can be had out of this pedal. The pedal comes with the original box and all the goodies that came with it. I bought this pedal 3-4 years ago but the sound is a bit too much for the bands I am in. I was always hoping to use it but it has literally sat in the box the whole time. I had thought I might use it also as an emergency DI for gigs but I have never needed it. I would be really interested in trades for Iron Polytope because the funds coming from this will go towards this pedal. Possible option would be OE DCX or IE Frantabit. Possible option would be towards Bergantino HDN/HD 112 cab. If I was playing heavier music this pedal would absolutly be staying. £270, £260 including postage. Bank transfer or PayPal F&F.
  17. elaborate a bit?
  18. Boss Dual Cube Bass LX, bought for a project (one gig!) playing bass Uke when it sat on a table and ran off its batts. Never used again since (Other than to test before sale). before you ask, no it won’t keep up with a Heavy metal covers band on a gig, but it is a decent practice amp and could be used (as I did) on small acoustic gigs or even a campfire jam if that’s your bag? With the addition of the Bluetooth adapter (not included) you can access the app and program the LX to your hearts content. Add a footswitch (also not included) you can turn effects on and off, starts/stop the inbuilt drum machine or start stop the inbuilt looper. This unit is in immaculate/brand new condition with all the packaging and candy - manual, boss PSU, mini jack cable. I’ll include UK postage in the price too. Any questions please ask.

  19. Just thought I’d add the weight - 3.6kg according to my bathroom scales.
  20. 3.4kg according to my bathroom scales. Not sure how accurate they are, but that’s what they say.
  21. Had 30 minutes or so to play with the Anagram last night. Updated the firmware straight away - far more straightforward than updating the Helix! Whizzed through the factory presets and had a play with some individual blocks. There are some lovely drives, as expected, and some of the amps sound great without cabs or further low/high cuts, which are essential with the Helix. Just a couple of niggles so far. The volume over headphones is much quieter than the helix. Even turning up the headphone output and setting it to +10dB, it's still nowhere near as loud as my helix. I know my ATH-m50x are 38 ohm, but even my little Katana:Go drives them louder than the Anagram. DG Suite is very underwhelming. It looks pretty and makes updating the firmware a piece of cake, but coming from HX Edit, it lacks basic expected functions, such as remotely controlling presets/scenes on the Anagram, and preset editing. I really hope this will be enabled in a future update. I'll have all day to play with it tomorrow before the evenings gig. I don't expect to have a gig ready presets created, as I haven't yet planned out how I'm going to design my workflow. Downsizing from the Helix LT with 8 stomps/snapshots to 3 will take some thought.
  22. Man. About a month ago this was on my radar. None in London came up so when a genzler Magellan 350 combo came up I bought it. Always the way man 🙄. This amp has such a sweet tone. Don’t think the misses would appreciate me having two rigs for the house. GLWTS mate.
  23. you need to give us a better prompt 😄
