Had a chance to try mine out properly this evening. Really nice octave up and down, the momentary is neat! Like the fact that it has a chorus thrown in. The tuning up and down is decent and tracking decently tight. (Thought for a while, I wasn't getting a completely 100% wet signal - I was hearing a little artefact/residue which is part way between the original and detuned tone which gets more noticeable on the higher strings i.e. quite prominent on the top G on my bass. Another bassist suggested that this could be just the acoustic note I was hearing alongside given I was playing at low late night home volumes. When I recorded this through my desk, that residue was no longer there so, yup, it was the acoustic string coming through!)

Don’t know yet, sorry vaguely positive assurance from agent that he has no one else in the running and that ceo has tasked HR with finding a slot to meet him and “they always take ages” I cannot do this if I cannot justify it as affordable when I have no job partner away all day tomorrow

Thanks Perhaps I can make that

I bought this new in 2022 for a live band project that never came off. As a result, it’s never really been used other than to get upgraded to the version 2 firmware and some playing around to get the hang of it. These got a poor reception when they were first released but the version 2 firmware addressed most, if not all, of the criticisms making this a really powerful polyphonic sequencer that has loads of connection options and a ton of flexibility. (On the subject of connections, it should be noted that this has mini-Jack MIDI sockets and needs a Type-A connector. Also, it’s powered by USB and will also take power from a Korg 9v power adaptor but, again, please be aware that this isn’t the standard Boss-type centre-negative PSU and is a centre-positive type with a different barrel size. UPDATE: I just tracked down the Korg PSU that I bought to go with the SQ64 so I’ll include that as well). It’s in the original box and is in mint condition. Available for inspection here in sunny Cleethorpes or can be posted in the UK for a fiver. Please PM with any questions!

I followed Lobster advice on my Sire U5 with hipshot 1/2 ultra lite and it worked perfectly.

Excellent interpretation!

Yep, I guess it is meant to be retro, or something. It means that I can reuse it with the P-127 set. I have to though, because they cut a big hole in the top to accommodate the extra width. If you want shiny P-bass pickups, I guess the DiMarzio Billy Sheehan Relentless middle set would do it. £122 from Thomann, plus delivery!

Ahh, the chrome bit is separate, I thought it was part of the pickup. Never mind then
