  2. Then adding the word sold in the title will close of the sale as per usual
  3. £50 price reduction Trades - X Touch Universal. Try me with anything, I can only say no 😁 Great bass in good condition, comes with hard case. Short scale. Not a heavy bass. Plays well. Not really any damage to speak of. There’s a little bit at the top of the headstock (photographed) but looks much worse than it actually is. I’ve removed the strap lock pins and replaced them with the originals that were odd when I got it. The case is old but fully function and all the clasps work. Can post at buyers expense or can be collected from BB22SH Any questions please ask.

  4. I had the stereo and sold it. Regretted it and bought the mono. It really is the Swiss Army knife of amp world. I’ve got a Markbass Evo 1 to try out at the moment which basically, has the Multiamp amps and effects but has two independent channels, which is exactly what I need. I think it’s what I’ve been looking for, for a long time 😁
  5. You're welcome, Dunc! GLWTS!
  6. Yea it’s still for sale. Sent you a personal message.
  7. Is the carve of the necks are so different? 😮
  8. Orange did but it is slightly bonkers for a portable cab. You get the cost and weight of a 2x12 but the output of a 1x12. Cab size is slightly more complex. You can increase the size of the cab and change the tuning but it get's increasingly hard to have a flat response. That's the short version btw, I'm happy to do a longer explanation but it would be moderately technical and potentially very long. Worth a question in amps and speakers maybe but a bit ao a thread de-rail. Good to meet you on Sunday btw
  9. Another thing... The black hardware with that purple… Uffff! 🤠
  10. Tush - ZZ Top
  11. Welcome Joe.
  12. I think that was the 1x6?? I've just put the smaller 1x12 back into the loft and it is definitely front mounted All of my speakers are mounted from the outside nowadays. A lot of the prototypes were just screwed into place but ones I used for gigging regularly had the screws rplaced with bolts and T-nuts. I'm trying threaded inserts for my next build though as I find t-nuts problemmatic when they are so close to the speaker cutout.
  13. I usually take a pair of JMJ mustangs when I gig.
  14. I come here for the first time to just see whether anyone is selling a BB and the first thing I see is this bargain.
  15. I have the same…..it sounds realy like an Alembic…..
  16. I remembered how Portugal, back in the early 2000s decriminalised drug use... So I was reminded of classic US 50s scare-movie, Reefer Madness. Hence quotes from US 50s movies on the dangers of The Weed! Bass is Sandberg Bassic thru Helix, some reverb. Guitar is a Strat, drums a mix of EZ and Ableton sounds. Clips are licence free from Loopcloud. Plenty of Dub Station and Quadraverb delays, plus Nectar 4, Neutron 3 and Ozone 9.
  17. Yesterday at the bash we @cetera had a fascinating geek-out comparing a pair of recent 2024-25 Euros, Gary’s "Desert Island” with the maple board vs my “Peacock” with the ebony board. Both Japan Exclusives. Very different carve necks, slightly different nut widths, EMG vs EMGx, Spector tuners vs Gotoh Resolite on the "Desert Island”. Both shipped with the DG. Agreed on the Euros. The small batch or special run Euros can be awesome. Not that the “catalogue” ones aren’t amazing 😉
  18. I know. 😀
  19. Nice work, looks great 👍🏼
  20. Hi All, Just wanted to introduce myself and say hi. I'm Joe and well... "hi" I'm mostly self-taught (thanks to sweeeeet sweeeeet BassBuzz) though latterly have been having short lessons every other week as I look for a bit of guidance how to pull myself out of the confusing quagmire of the "intermediate". There's a lot to focus, and improve, on and having a teacher should help with that I think. I do sometimes get the feeling that my teacher is sort of playing for time in lessons though. I wonder what everyone's opinions about what makes a good teacher and a good lesson (as well as student, I guess). I must admit I found this forum because of the classifieds initially. I'm looking to sell the 50s Style Vintera neck from my P bass (take a look at the listing if interested) that I just replaced with a more standard Jazz neck. This was definitely not the most economic choice, but I wanted to keep the P bass as I'm attached to it sentimentally and bloody love the thing. I appreciate it's quite odd to replace the main element on the bass that made it unique, but it just felt too awkward to play and comfort is king. Anyway, that's enough rambling. I'm glad I've found a nice corner of the internet with like-minded individuals. Jamerson. Dart. Palladino.
  21. Dear Rob, I have no idea regards fret-wire, but am happy to offer my services to find out for you. If you care to post your bass to PO Box 666, Chelmsford, I will personally take it around the world until I find a match. I estimate that this should take us well into the 2030s, but I am sure you will be more than pleased with the result. Snorkie635 Just outside your back door, checking the locks work. (You never can be sure).
  22. Don't forget the Build Diaries rule: Pics or it didn't happen 😜
  23. Honestly, I would ask your luthier. If you have a good one that knows about vintage Fenders he'll advise you what is best for your bass.
  24. Sure is PM replied to
