After yesterday, rumour has it that Robert Peston is just Jarvis Cocker doing a John Fogerty impression.

These Cirrus basses sound really good, great design ect, but the 35 inch scale was a big mistake in my opinion.

Ah! I'll go stand in the corner then. Snorkie Minimus pinched the strings off mine and had them on his US Professional Precision within twenty mins of my Vintage arriving.

Toto's cover of 'Sunshine of Your Love,' originally by Cream. The odd time signature adds a unique twist—always fascinating to see how different artists interpret classics! Bass: Mike Porcaro https://basslessons.be/transcriptions.php?i=1032

I bet you're right

Try and get Rod to unblock your toilet, you'll soon find out.

Animal - Def Leppard

Not much I hope! They are what's originally fitted.

The Ep[iphone T-bird is nice, but I've got the set neck Embassy and that makes all the same noises IMHO.
-
Excellent. Let's know the difference they make once you have the time. I have LaBella black nylon coated on mine and it sounds like it dropped out of the Motown studio. (Not the playing, unfortunately.) 😂

I believe he plays a Sadowsky 5 string on this.
-
Loving it. It gets new Fender nickel plated strings this week.

How are you enjoying yer new Vintage Precision Stubz? Definite keeper if it's like mine.

I don't take my slightly more expensive couple of basses out because whilst they greatly enhance my enjoyment of practicing and recording, they'd absolutely ruin my enjoyment of rehearsing and gigging. I don't want to spend my time preoccupied with thoughts of theft, loss and damage.. I want to put my gear in a storeroom and head out for food after soundcheck, load offstage into the dressing room and drink irresponsibly to the other bands that are on after us, and maybe let somebody else in the band take my stuff back with them if they're driving. So I take a pair of less expensive basses that are perfectly solid and reliable, and I enjoy playing them, and they look great on live photos.. but they don't cause me any stress and I believe I play better for it.

Mate has a white NT one and when he bought it many years ago he said it was one of his nicest basses to play so i was already swayed that way, but i appreciate your feedback on them as a gigging musician it helps a lot. Dave

Alexbass444 started following Do you use your “best” bass on gigs?

Yesssss, I do!

Where driving is concerned the Quebecois are only slightly better in following the rules of the road than the Italians. But in the great Commonwealth of Massachusetts one has to fail an IQ test to get a drivers license. 🤪

Muppet on a String - Sandie Shaw

Well, that was easy!

I think the cow print one has bigger problems than a headstock given that we can see the ground through the sound hole...
-
That's just confirmed i need to try a neck thru T bird. Dave

Singer from my band plays Charvette guitars. He has about 12 of them. All orange, all the same model, all slightly different. Different pickup configurations, different neck profiles etc. Some have fixed bridges but some have tremolo bridges. He doesn’t use the term so he’s found ways of keeping the bridges in place. Some have bits of wood jammed in the back. At least one has a rock that he found in the car park of the studio he was recording in when he was having issues. Most have been in there for 20+ years without issue.
