  1. Past hour
  2. 83 or 84. Only because t'internet tells me 83 was Richard Thompson and 84 Hank Wangford.
  3. You need quality, check Bourns, Vishay, Alps, and any manufacturer that offers plastic track, or cermet pots. I did quite a lot of work on this as a youngster when the interweb was non-existent. At some point I lost my temper, and built step attenuators. Some are still in use in two of my basses. I don't remember has this 3, or 6 dB steps? Most likely latter.
  4. I’ve got one, there’s a thread on it somewhere, can’t remember if I paid £80 or £100, I’d say it’s well overpriced
  5. We're doing Doolittle by Pixies next, but Rattus is on the list of possibilities 👍
  6. Hello. I need a string tree for my Sire bass, it has a 42mm nut. Would something like the Hipshot string retainer do the trick and do I need to overly worry about the exact sizing - for example the spacing of the retainer being a bit smaller than the string spacing? Cheers!
  7. Sold a Trace Elliot eq thingy in the easiest of transactions. Marvellous
  8. Me too. Working on our house on a genuinely turned off circuit. Touched the erath and neutral together, which tripped the RCD (leaving me in darkness). Shouted down to my daughter to reset it please, and seeing the RCD and this circuits MCB tripped, helpfully reset both for me. In I went with my cutters............
  9. I have one in natural, the original preamp is one of Rob’s favourites. I love mine. Great neck, never moves. Sounds so good and cuts through any mix. GLWTS.
  10. Lovely looking bass. As well as the truss-rod, do these have carbon rods reinforcing the neck?
  11. I actually prefer a direct sale, but it always depends. Maybe you can send me your ideas via pm.

  13. I'm Gonna Wash That Man Right Outa My Hair - South Pacific OST
  14. Which Kawai digital was it? My wife (a piano teacher) has a Kawai ES8 (one before the current model) and it sounds and feels great. Note quite like a real one, but very close. (She has a real one (Woodchester) as well)
  15. I second that advice, we all want to see whats under the hood for any potential buyers...
  16. Me neither 😆
  17. I think the only difference between the V1 and V2 is the mute button and the dimmable blue colour light strip along the front.
  18. Well, if it was 81, 82 or 83 I could tell you. Maybe not 83
  19. I'm intrigued by the new Marlita Bass (not rich enough for a s/h Amrita !) Whats the flow of instruments into the UK like ? Are Andertons still the dodgy shop to buy from ? heh !!! (I expect they will deny everything regarding the bass-just like the mystery who owns what amp fiasco)
  20. Yeh, it was 16 bars so I could get all the variations Yes, that is the bit I couldn't find, the export audio part! TBH - I should be doing this in the MPC-10 which is obviously designed for it, but I am not used to 'its' way of doing things, seems recycle copies heavily from the MPC workflow, which is the bit I haven't got used to yet. Thanks.
  21. Ws90 and 80 pair the same way.
  22. The rest of what you need to know:
  23. I didn't realise I wanted a synth pedal on my board until seeing the demos for this. Well played MXR.
  24. I had that problem with one group (different song). Ultimately I just couldn't play it wrong! New side project does Dani California with different vocal timing in the chorus and it throws me right out - I have done it in the last 3 groups, probably played it north of 300 times in that time. Luckily I have a P16, so I just turn the vocals off for that track!
