  1. Past hour
  2. Cymande are pretty funky, nice bass tone, never heard of them before
  3. Ice. Stranglers
  4. Yeah great tone, going by the burst looked like a 70s Precision, but whatever, sounded great.
  5. Empress bass compressor. Selling due to downsizing my board. It's a really lovely piece of kit, top of the line bass comp pedal in great condition. Velcro currently on the back, but the rubber feet are in the box. Located in Devon. Can meet in person if nearby, or buyer decides on/pays for postage. Here's my feedback thread:
  6. Just sold my Overwater Progress to Jason. Very straight forward transaction. Great comms. We met in Liverpool to arrange the handover and it was great to meet him in person. Great Basschatter. Deal with him with confidence. Thanks Jason.
  7. I think this clip just had a serious impact on my bank account!
  8. Celeste - blimey, couldn’t carry a tune in a bucket. I’ve seen her perform a few times, and her pitching ( or rather lack of it ) has always seemed to be an issue. She has an ’interesting’ voice but for me the random pitching thing is just too much for me to tolerate.
  9. Hi Dave, Here's a pic of my 1994 Gibson Thunderbird. It's a great bass. It's a shame I don't gig much with it. Daryl
  10. Nice one, thanks.
  11. Line 6 HX Stomp XL, selling due to downsizing my board. It's in pretty good nick, it's spent the majority of its time on a pedalboard in a protective case. It currently has some custom and purchased presets on it, but I can reset it back to factory if preferred. It comes with velcro on the back, the rubber feet are in the box. Located in Devon. Can meet in person if nearby, or buyer decides on/pays for postage. Here's my feedback thread:
  12. Ruby Tuesday - The Rolling Stones
  13. Lovely looking bass. As well as the truss-rod, do these have carbon rods reinforcing the neck?
  14. I actually prefer a direct sale, but it always depends. Maybe you can send me your ideas via pm.

  16. Yes! Goat are on now. Get your freak on, people!
  17. Thank god for Ronnie 🙏
  18. Peter Capaldi had a great time with Franz Ferdinand, and they seemed to be doing a good job too: https://fb.watch/Ax75cP1lNG/
  19. He's not a plumber, he goes round fixing people's drives.
  20. It has mounting screw holes in the heel & tuner screw holes but doesn't have a hole for the string tree. Weird When I take off the fretless neck, before storing it should I do anything like adjust the truss rod to ensure it is dead straight or doesn't it matter?
  21. .....and so with great power comes great responsibility.... we rehearse very very loud. I'd run all night pretty safely, until I tried a different preamp my guitarist had brought along. I wasn't really paying attention and let him twiddle the knobs..... Volume dropped, smell of electrical burn and then nothing. The verdict - pushed the amp too far, dropped 1.5k+ of power onto the 410 with a fair level of drive, speakers and amp have failed. Solution: barefaced have been great as always. New drivers on their way. Sumo needs a board replacement which GSS are happy to sort. (Obviously all at my cost). Lessons learned: 1. be careful with more power than the cab is rated. 2. Don't let your guitarist mess with your gear. 3. Maybe turn down on future...(Probably not though) ✌️
  22. Thanks a lot for all of the info and advice. I've found a local dealer who sells (or leases out) and tunes a lot of the pianos in the region and has both new and second hand options. Thanks Hellzero! I'm up north (Turnhout) so a quick visit isn't really feasible, but thank you very kindly for the invitation. I'm thinking about visiting Marne as well (I was put of a bit by them being such a 'big name', though that's not necessarily a bad thing).
  23. You don't see too many of these higher spec Elricks for sale and this one is rather nice. 👍
  24. Yep, Rod Stewart would be cheaper.
  25. It was a great sound! I didn’t like the Casady as much as the P, not quite so in your face. A bass with a P pickup in the normal position through a Tech21 VTDI will get you where you want, without the need for a chiropractor after, it’s what I do .
