My band is about to start making noise again in a live context. We're a three piece and I can happily hear all the noise from our amps/drums but I would like to have a feed of my voice into an in-ear (perhaps with a touch of compression and reverb) so that I don't over sing and get pitchy etc I can see systems costing a bomb and cheap as chips stuff but is there a reliable solution to just getting a feed of my voice that sounds even (and possibly vibey) in one or two of my lugholes? It would need to be something I could just setup in a simple rehearsal room with an el crapola desk and then take to stages of various sizes...is there something that works independently of the desk for instance i.e. taking a feed of my voice off the mic DI box? And if there is a solution, how do you choose to set it up?

Cairobill started following Jazz basses, what's the point?

I love a jazz at home and used to tour with a Stingray and a 70s J as a backup. Whenever I switched to the J the bottom end and any thump fell out of the band. I'm pretty sure it was driver error but it always struck me as a potential issue. Doesn't stop me buying them and selling them though!!! I love the sound for recording.

I've had to wait for 9 months a few years ago for my passive TT5 and I had specifically insisted on the weight. The result lived up to my expectations with 2,6kg/5,7lb and, the most important, the same perfect sounding than my former classic TT5 The concern after that is that all the basses seem heavy !!

Oh come on, 'most'? You think we all have nothing better to do than check the classifieds here twelve time a day? Well. Fine. But that's not the point either.

Most FB Marketplace interactions I've had where I've had to go to a person's house to buy or sell something! I sold a bass to a guy who lived over the road from an airport perimeter fence, and he started ranting about chemtrails... Camo jacket/pyjamas dude bought a keyboard from me. I think I was his contact with the outside world for the week.

Foto flame is more like those '60s Paisley Fender finishes than any sort of AAA+ book-matched maple veneer. It is a thin image buried in lacquer. Once it is compromised, via any sort of dent or ding, it seems to loose strength and start to give way in sheets.

Tech21 Bass Fly Rig v2, purchased from Carlsim: Can't believe how small it is, but it sounds great.

Thats exactly what I assumed.

I'm here to ask a massive favour - I'd like to buy something small in Japan from a Japanese only site. They do not appear to offer international shipping and you can't even register for an account if you don't live in Japan. Does anyone have a contact/friend/family member in Japan who could act as go-between on my behalf? Is the site even legit? Just going by Google Translate here. It's this bridge here - https://fershop.net/product_info.php/manufacturers_id/38/products_id/1003 - I'd really like to get the original bridge for my Burny LSB-80, but as you can imagine they don't come up very often (yes, I just missed out on one recently on eBag). I would be very grateful if anyone in the BC community could help me out with this, long, convoluted shot that it is. Thanks!
