Ach its months away. After my plaster came off i rode my sports bike to the physio at the local hospital and she gave me a rollocking for it but as i explained my leg was encased in motorbike boots with 5 straps up the side. It was stronger than the plaster i had on. She wasn't happy but i had no other way of getting there. I couldn't walk to my nearest bus stop to get a bus as it was difficult walking at that time plus the walk from the bus stop to the physio was even longer. Dave

Placed a wanted ad for an Anagram, had no hopes of getting one before the big uk restock occurs. Behold, a message from Gavin, sorted me right out rather than returning his. Legend! Rapid postage and a pleasure to deal with

You found a real rare fair teacher and the eye (ear) opener is more than worth the free "lesson".

A slightly modified Kasleder Freaky Stone Boost & Fuzz My thoughts are, I’ll never put this on a board it can live on a 9v battery and I’ll just drop it at the front of my chain whenever I feel like it. This is probably one of my favourite pedals but it does heavily benefit from an amp sim/ir. I don’t think I’d run it live without least the Element

As above. This is a 2019 model. Great condition. A few very small blemishes which I’ve tried to picture but are really hard to catch on camera and can’t really be seen unless intentionally looking. (2 on top horn, one near bridge and one or two very little ones near the control plate) Also a little bit of bucklerash as this has been gigged for a year or so but nothing major. No noticeable marks to my eyes on the headstock. Really nice bass. Hipshot tuners which I’m not sure whether or not are standard but they’re on there since I bought it… Recently (3 weeks ago) professionally set up with EB Medium Slinkies. with a slight fret dress, so it’s a really nice low action with no high spots or choking. Honestly, plays like butter, whatever that plays like! I’ve also had the pickup cavity and pick guard copper shielded at the same time so it no longer has that pesky Mustang Hum. Only selling because try as I might, I just can’t seem to make it work for me. The split coil pickup which the Mustang is famous for sounds awesome but I can’t make it fit in my main gig and find myself craving more ‘honk’ that comes from having a bridge pickup. Comes with a full size bass hard case which I’ve adapted to fit the short scale with some wood & foam. Works a treat. Also comes with Schaller S Locks. And, I think I’ve got an old set of Fender flatwounds cut to fit it which I’ll chuck in. The original strap pins are also in the case and I can knock £20 off if you don’t want the Schallers. I can also include the Fender strap for an additional £10. Looking for £650 £630 collected from TF5 where I have very nice coffee and a biscuit or 2 available, and a nice amp you can try through. Or, i think i have a box and can pack up if you wanted to organise a courier. And… I can potentially meet within about 30-40 mins of TF5 . Will consider trades/part trades for short scales especially a Fender Japan Junior Jazz Bass or Gibson Jr Les Paul Tribute, and potentially 5 strings. But, sale is preferred so happy to see what you’ve got. Thanks in advance. Alex

Not a decision as such. Many years back when I first started playing it with a previous covers band, we were struggling to get tight on coming in together at the start with acoustic guitar coming in on the up beat ahead of everyone else, so that's what we focussed on sorting. The simplified bass part I played fitted, was certainly "good enough" in terms of audience reception to our song - it was always about the guitar solo at the end for them - and no one said anything. That changed when the singer in my current band last year mentioned that she'd heard a really sweet bass riff on that song. It did then actually take a fair bit of effort to unlearn the "wrong" bass line! I think it's only since I've been working with a semi-pro crew that I've been paying closer attention to some of the actual bass lines and realising just how much better many of them were than the simplified versions I'd been playing! Another easy example would be Killers "Somebody told me" - for me that loses a lot when the bass line is flattened, which I've often heard. With that one, I made sure to learn that one properly from the off!

Honed mine down to 7 essential pedals... Really happy with this version.... Korg pitch black mini, MXR Dyno comp bass mini, MXR vintage bass octave, Darkglass B3K, Xotic bass RC booster, EBS bass IQ envelope filter, Boss bass chorus. The MXR compressor is just lovely... Inconspicuous but tightens things up perfectly !

Vigier Passion and Arpege - what's the difference?
White Cloud replied to lapolpora's topic in Bass Guitars
I've owned both models. An earlier 80's graphite necked Arpege and a 1990 Passion with the 90/10 neck. The in's and outs have already been covered in this thread in a way which would put me to shame, so I'll leave it at that. I consider them amongst the best basses money can buy. -
We are lucky enough to only have a couple of places that we have to invoice. The rest are good old cash in hand at the end of the night.
