Gank Bass started following Pirate Studios -- a warning
-
Sorry to hear your bad experience OP! We used to use pirate when they first started (Nottingham location) and for a while it seemed great - very clean, decent gear, plenty of availability - but it went downhill very quick. Their reliance on gimmicky ai customer service is incredibly frustrating and they don't seem to want to maintain their equipment. Take your business elsewhere! If anyone needs rehearsal space in Nottingham check out Stave Rooms 🤟

Good evening... No, I've not listened to the linked track, as I don't, in general, click on links from sources I'm not sure of. Not to say that that link is not respectable, but, on this forum, it's usual to introduce oneself, post a little about oneself, and generally participate a bit to build up confidence in what is, after all, a rapport between complete strangers. Once you get to know some of us better, and we you, there is a much better chance of getting useful comments relating to all things bass. I hope this helps; meanwhile... Have a great day. Douglas -
I would imagine their public liability insurance would be void in that situation if they allowed any members of the public in the building, even to reset the alarm

Ha! Truth is, I’d love to use a P for the earlier stuff, but as the guitar / keys lads have a lot of switching around to do, it’s left to me to do a lot of the between-song chat.

Lakland5 started following Aguilar DB751
-
Hi everyone. just a feeler here to gauge interest. These amps need little introduction from me - seen on stages all over the world. Effortless power and huge tone DB751’s are becoming more and more difficult to source so here is a chance to own one of the world’s best amps. Fully functioning and comes in a sleeve. Very good condition with a couple of marks on the sleeve but the amp is in great condition i will post but it’s a heavy beast Inly trade I would consider is a Genzler Magellan ( or kinetix) 800 Thanks for looking Any questions, just ask Cab is not included in price !!!

Don't know how much it is for the Birmingham one but it's inside the CAZ which affects a couple of us. So we rehearse at one which is 200m outside the CAZ.
-
Hopefully, they'll get some less arrogant and more customer-focused staff as part of the move. Every interaction I've had with the one has been "sub-optimal". I wouldn't employ him to sell plectrums let alone high end spendy bass gear.

Fender American Deluxe Precision Bass V - £1400

The purpose of FRFR cabs is different. They serve GREAT duty, they provide excellent comfort and greatest monitoring, but I cannot agree that they can provide a decent sound (compared to typical amplifiers, that usually are terrible at monitoring duties and not comfortable). I directly and thoroughly compared 1000W FRFR Fender ToneMaster cab paired Quad Cortex to quite cheap guitar tube amps like Marshall DSL and JetCity 50 with 412 and... well, the Cortex + ToneMaster performance was a joke.

I bought a mixer from John. Everything was easy and this man packs beautifully.

After getting outbid on the BG-208 on eBay last night, I just got one for £160, pickup in Sheffield which means I can go visit one of my mates over there!

Absolutely fantastic that! And not a P bass in sight 😲🤓 The whole set up there is fabulous, and I've heard the staff are superb too, looks and sounds great 😜

Great work so far 👍🏼

Trades - X Touch Universal, maybe Alto TS215. Great bass in good condition, comes with hard case. Short scale. Not a heavy bass. Plays well. Not really any damage to speak of. There’s a little bit at the top of the headstock (photographed) but looks much worse than it actually is. I’ve removed the strap lock pins and replaced them with the originals that were odd when I got it. The case is old but fully function and all the clasps work. Can post at buyers expense or can be collected from BB22SH Any questions please ask.

Ovation Magnum II Fretless with Graphic EQ

My eye (yes, I have two. Don't worry...) was caught by the cool looking lever at the top of the bridge - does this amazingly manly bass have a lever that deploys the string mutes? Bet MusicMan wish they'd thought of that before adding those fiddly tiny metal round screws under the bridges of Classic Stingrays. Seriously impressed by the intonation calibration markings on the bridge as well. If Bang & Olufsen made basses, they would make basses like this.
