I'm surprised they don't block book musicians, to be honest.

Sorry to have wasted your valuable time, Dan. Please feel free to ignore my future posts on this or other subjects. 🙂

Don't forget Al James from Felis Leo (who? 😂). And Jimmy James from My Morning Jacket. @Mykesbass did you know there was a soul band called Rufus Stone?

I first joined a proper band in 1985 and quickly acquired the nickname Norris. It stuck.

Lovely figuring. I like that colour combo. I have a Darkglass pre out of a '24 Euro LX if it's of interest but I recommend the LHZ. I've bought 6 of them.

I noticed the bass player was on a Sadowsky and a couple of the teles were by luthiers. Gibson and Taylor were out front for acoustics with Martin trailing behind. -

I've been told it's sometimes not being picked up by the tests as it's mutated so much, who knows? 🙄🤔 What I do know is I've never ailed for anything as long as I have with this last bout 😖 That is indeed a great memory you have Dave, what a blast from your past! 👍🏼

Session bassists aren't just working in studios, they're playing live and touring with bands as well and thats where you might use something more interesting. Cradle Of Filth might be looking for their next bassist (there's been a lot) and they might want you to use an active bass with super bright tone and a huge effects board. They'll then fire you mid tour because Danny Filth got out the wrong side of his coffin that morning.

Couple of pedals not being used atm. Vapour trail, Easily one of my favourite anolog delays. Very similar to the carbon copy but with more flexibility. £80 posted Also one of my absolute favourite underrated fuzz sounds is the (now discontinued) Ebs Fuzzmo, cuts through the mix like a dream. £70 posted Both in perfect working condition, couple of tiny chips. Always happy to hear trades.

I guess they're a lot younger than me and don't remember the halcyon days of bass rich pop, funk and fusion ☹️.... or more to the point, know that their audience don't. oh I feel old.

To be fair, it's just as likely to be a Precision with rounds, but those are the two main reference sounds that most producers want!

I honestly think the Neve is the most usable preamp I’ve ever had. Brilliant thing.

Added the Dirt Mixer, still not decided on which drives I want but for not I’ve opted for the Venus, Dagger and Halberd for a pretty wide range of options. Recording in a couple of weeks so still time to change things around. Still patiently waiting for a smaller version of the Bass Driver from EAE so I can go back to a more compact board 🤞
